Backed against the wall
No one understands
Something is wrong
Punished for being different
The curse of uniqueness
Reveal from deep within
Hidden beliefs
Pieces of my spirit
Reflection of myself
Exposed to criticism
Judged and rejected
Fears take shape
Inner demons whisper
Feelings unacceptable
Too different to be embraced
An outsider never fits in
Silence seems better
Withdraw within
Safe from pain
Alone
Barriers surround
Fear constrains
No room to move
Wings clipped
Paralized with confusion
Want to be someone else
Safe with mindless agreement
