Indian Prayer
By JacLynn Rose
Spirit Wind, carry our words
To the Great White Father
So he may hear
Our words of faith
Spirit Rain, cleanse our souls
Of all Earthly weakness
So we may be worthy
Of His grace
Spirit Sand, polish the Earth
To a Golden Path
Where His feet shall trod
And his feet shall not touch
The uncleansed Earth
Spirit Sun, light the way
Don't allow Spirit Clouds
To block your light
So all can behold
The Great White Father's Glory
Spirit Moon, light the night
Stay and protect the sleeping
So in shadows, only evil can hide
Great Father we plead
For all your sinful flock
To show them the way
In your enlightened Glory
Spirit Stars, watch over us
Burn away Spirit Evil
As you cross
The ever darkening skies
And stand a vigil
'Till Spirit Sun arrives again
