Survivors's light
 
Despair comes out
Pain seems to rule
Love seems to be gone
But the light is still there...
 
Loneliness on the outside
My face a mask of grief
My eyes speak of fear
But the light is inside...
 
Words filled with hurt
Sound like thunder in the air
The sky darkened with clouds
But the light shines behind...
 
For a survivor lives inside
To comfort a scarred soul
And dreams of unity sip through
As the light will again haunt the blackness

Great job Froststorm!
This sure fits in with everything going on now...911 anniversery and Katrina,too.Would it be ok with you if I shared this in another group I belong to?It has alot of Katrina victims in it and I think it would be a comfort to them, to see this.

Flutterfly, I saw your response only today and missed it somehow aparantly on the 11th....if you still want to share it on some site, like with the other poem, as long as the copyright is included I have no problem with it.
