didnt read it when posted but read it now

 

when goig through some old ewspapers that i didn't have time to read earlier i found that one of the dutch soldiers killed in afghanista was someone whose father lives in my hometow

 

his girlfriend was interviewed last week, 4 May, on our natioal remembrace day

 

anyhow, they have set up a foundation to help the people in afghaistn (pfff ca;t type it right)

with humaitarian help, saying their son and frend, agh.... it's too hot to type .... would have wanted to help, and they didnt want it to end there

 

the minister of the troops is someone from my own party, that i worked for earlier, and i had the privilige to work with this man very close on two occasions (one time we had dinner (my nn doesn't work anymore) i The hague

 

he's added a few greyhairs ad such meanwhile

 

well, i better quit, i can't type right at the mometm, my n doesnty wrk gues that's why i couldnt sig i 

 

maybe the keyboard is also sufferig from the warmth

 

 

 

I understand the keyboard wanting to have some relief, I see it's very warm where you are.

mine works like that in the heat too. it needs a good cleaning, though.

 

I thought we could incorperate these links in our Memorial Day Page some way.

Just a thought.

 

Maybe we should start a thread of those that know someone or have a relative that has been wounded or killed in one of the wars.

Maybe someone would even have a story from the revolutionary war, of a relative they can recall being told about

 

Just any war from any of our memories.

 

just something for a personal take from the members of the group.

Maybe get thier stories, and link to those on the page too.

 

I am still thinking this through, and trying to figure out a way to word it, that won't make it sound morbid.
