Mar...........
I have been looking at the Blog in the Groups Migration Help site and I see a potential problem with getting the Corral moved to Multiply, since neither one of us has a working addy for the managers position.

Blog Entry A word about migrating managers and assistant managers Oct 17, '08 11:47 PM
by Everett for everyone
Just like on MSN Groups, it's possible for a group on Multiply to have more than one administrator (that's what we call "managers" here) or assistant administrator.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we're not able to migrate administrator status for any users other than the one who migrates the group. Sorry about that.

But don't panic! After the group is migrated, the group's first administrator (the one who migrates the group) will be able to grant (assistant) administrator status to the other members as appropriate.

Only the Admin of a group can migrate a group. My understanding is that your assistant managers cannot. But if there is any concern about any asst managers or other managers in a group, a manager there can remove any managers or asst managers now or before the migration starts.

Even though I am listed as assistant manager, I made the group with this addy, I wonder if that would make a difference?

i don't know, i think you have to contact migration support, either at msn or at multiply
they say multiply answers fast, but it may be busy right now
i will also see if i can do something about it
i have a lot of groups, so i need to collect the data first

meanwhile my gifs2adopt site migrated, got an email from multiply that i had to do it again

i also did trueblues eyrie, another minor site, and it went in no time

still have to check if everything went though, cause i read from a lot of people that parts are msising

Hi Ladies, so glad you two are dealing with this.. so sorry I'm not able to help.. You two deserve a gold medal for running this group... Unfortunately I have been busier than normal with the house sale and getting things done around here so as we can sell this place. I have to keep the house spotless in case someone calles that they have clients to see the home. Not too easy with a dog that wants in and out and we have to go with him.. and since it's been raining .. yes.. the foot tracks get into the house..
Well anyway.. pray that we sell and are into a condo before winter.. I'm not looking forward to a winter here again.. especially if hubby goes to sea again.

love you guys,,
Bay

OK Mar, we wont be moviing it in any kind of rush anyway
It's ok for a while where it is, even if we find our name can't be kept.
We'll figure out something that's recognizable to the members.
For one thing we'll invite them all to the specific place.

If it can be moved by an assistant, you just feel free to take over.
or if you by some chance get your managers addy to work.
I have no objection to you making the site over again if you want to mess with it.
I won't be doing another site

I have all the emails saved of the members, in three of my active addys.
If you would like I can send them to you. I just copied from our list in here, all the application info I could find and everything.

We'll have plenty of time to work things out, so there's no rush on anything.
