I am trying to compose a notification for the QC members, here is what I have so far........

As Managers of the Quiet Corral, we are looking into our options for the transition of our group to Multiply.

As we get some of the problems solved, we will be sure to let all of you know.

The way it's looking now, we may not be able to transfer our group.

However the problems are being looked into.

It is recommended that if you have anything you wish to keep from the group site, you should be saving it to your own computer.

We will keep you informed

In the meantime, you could get registered as a member of Multiply.com

It sounds good to me Q.. does it mean that we have to be a member of multiply in order to join any groups that are in It.. and how do we do that..

Is there a site we go to and join? and do you know if we can keep our nick names?

Yes you'll have to have a multiply account too. It's just a 'myspace' sort of thing. I dont like myspace, but they've figured out a way to force us to have one anyway.

When I get this thing all figured out on how to word it, there will be instructions on what to do to be able to join up.

getting the multiply space will be a part of that..

I'm more or less looking for input from both of you to finish up the announcement. I have no idea what I'm doing......

I hope you will look at the page and make suggestions to us, or comment, on what you think would be relevant for our group.

As far as I know, this is the only option we have to 'transfer' all our pages from our group, on msn.

(if we are able to do that, because of our situation)

If we choose another option, of all the sites out there, that offer groups, we will have to rebuild all our content, from scratch.

That may be the way we want to go,

because then, we could have just those things that are important to each of us, as individuals, and that we want to have part in, as a group.

As I said, we are looking at all the options, and we would welcome your input.

Start a thread on the General board, or comment on one already there.

But please help us make the best decision for our beloved Quiet Corral.

We want to keep all of us in contact.

We don't want to lose those friendships we've so painstakingly developed.

yes, i think it's good to let them know we are in no hurry to move the group now, but want them to explore the other sites to see what they like best

I'm a member of all these different things and it's really confusing.

I went to the one at proboards, (the link Bay put up) and made an account, and I am now a member of her group LOLOL

Maybe I'll just put this link in there instead, so the people won't have to join Bays group.

I think we should add this 'Blog' page so the people will see the difficulty with moving to Multiply as a transfered group

(If we are even able to do it because of our Managers addies not being active anymore)

I sent the announcement and included the link to the thread on the Corral.

We shouldn't have to send another announcement right now

until we decide where we are going to be.

I'm not too enthused about many of those options.

Yuku or Multiply maybe would be my first choices

I'm not sure about transfering things, (even if we can )

mainly because it makes things hard to find

maybe we can start from scratch and add what we need?

like Birthdays? or stuff like that.......

Mar, Can we transfer some things, and leave others behind?

or do we have to transfer it all, or nothing?

Well I don't know why I'm even asking that, cause we probably can't transfer at all
