I want to put this code for a hit counter at a new site I just opened, and I am having trouble getting it to go on the page right.

<!-- Start Bravenet.com Service Code -->
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="http://pub11.bravenet.com/counter/code.php?id=399474&amp;usernum=921020677&amp;cpv=2">
</script>
<!-- END DO NOT MODIFY -->

I tried putting the page and the code all in notepad to save it but it won't even save. I found out it won't save with the counter doing it right on the page at the site. It shows the html code when I click save the page.
So I need to know how to do it, if you could explain it to me.
Notepad won't save it.......
I tried with the template I am using, and without, and it won't save at all.
I don't get the html option for the save.
How would I go about getting notepad to allow that option? or isn't that what's wrong?

I'll try putting the code on the html side of this message, but i doubt if it will work like that.
here goes

language=JavaScript src="http://pub11.bravenet.com/counter/code.php?id=399474&usernum=921020677&cpv=2" type=text/javascript> </SCRIPT>

you have to log in to go to the stats

How to view your Counts Report

The Counts Report shows the number of hits on all web pages using the counter. You can view it by entering the following web address in the browser and logging in with your username and password.

http://www.easycounter.com/user/

I got a site meter for there too but the style I got is numbers, and i don't like it as well as I thought I would, so I'm changing that today too.

this one doesn't say which code it gives:

this one is probably just counting the hits, nothing more:

and here's some more links:
