I don't understand what I did Mar, I saved it as 'all files' in documents from notepad and copied the html of the page and the rest of the music stuff like you had highlighted in red in music, and clicked save as then named it and it saved as a test doc. I put it into the documents and tried it and nothing. how did you get it to work on your attachment? and how do we put it on a page if we can't get the html?

I didn't understand what chripted or what ever you said. cause i don't know what that is.

 

 

I started from scratch and redid the whole thing again, and appearently made the same mistakes, because it saved as a text doc again. I saved as all files it is the only other choice besides text doc.

OK Mar, how do I get the html off the document page to add to a custom page? I can't get in there to change that little '> if I can't even get to the html.

I made a new one like I said in the last post and added it to my test page and it plays before I save the page but won't 'sing' after i save it.

go in and look at it and tell me what's going on.

the copy I used is not in the site documents either  

Ok it's back in the documents section of the QC1 with the change (without the  '> ) and it plays before I click save in the test page but still won't play after I save it.

 

I found where to get the html by the way.  it is under view - scource while in the documents section of the site. it will open there and play. with the page and all. but it won't after it's saved, and there is all that writting under the saved page. how do I get that to be included with the page, I know that's what the problem is, it isn't all under the picture.

i ADDED THE HTML TO A REPLY WINDOW AND IT MADE THE POST REALLY WIDE (THAT'S WHY THE DELETES)

I got to remember the caps lock button........ ugh

 

then I put the html under html in the reply window and it still copies like the page test with writing under neath the picture.

i couldn't open the link from your first posts anymore but when i went to the documents at the QC 1 i could open it, and although it is a file with the extension txt i got the graphics and the song playing

did you save this file in Word or Wordpad, since you said you don't have Notepad?

i save them in Notepad, have to add the right extension and save with the option all files and not txt files only

 

but you are aware that everything in the documents folder can only be viewed by members of the Corral when they are logged in to their msn accounts?

 

if that's what you want for the writings, that's OK

just want to make sure you realize it

the reason the first two won't open is because I took them out of documents and did the change  (took out the '>) and re posted it in documents.

 

I do have note pad, I was just too stupid to know where it was.

I did the page in notepad and saved to my music folder, and added it to documents on QC1

Can't see anything wrong, when I go to the Documents and click the file I get the page perfectly right with music, even when it is a txt file and not html

so can you figure out why it doesn't all save inside the page and play for us?

some of it stays visible at the bottom of the page, and I don't know how to add it all to the actual page, that has to be the reason it won't play when the page is saved.

if i understand you right, you want the music to play on the pages you have in the group

 

well, you cannot add the music code to msn custom pages (pages you make with msn tools for managers)

 

the only way you can make the page to play the music is to do it in notepad and store it in documents, just like you did with this one

So if I understand what you are saying, it is that it can't be done directly on the page, it has to be done as a 'Jukebox' or not at all?

 

That will be fine too. I was hoping for the direct opening but 'jukebox' is better than nothing. and when that is done I think we should tell them to hold the shift key while they click the link, so they are able to shut it off whenever they are tired of it. They may not like the songs we do. LOLOL

 

OK then I'll go find some more songs to add to the files and we'll just do the Jukebox page linked to the other pages, we want.

Can you make the jukebox page as a continuous playing, one right after the other, kind of a page?

If not then we'll just do one song at a time, like you are having it come up now. I don't even know how you did that. I haven't been into the tute yet.

 

When you get the jukebox done you can link to it or let me know and i can do it. either way.
