Collecting Rain

The sun is out

with rain about.

Get a glass of blue.

Catch the rain

to heal your pain

and for bathing too.

Blessed be,

the fairies see

I hold a silver spoon*.

They help me find

when I am blind

things I thought were doomed.

At midnight

by new moon's light,

gather rain for me.

Tomorrow brings

different things

only I can see.

Tombstone rain

may be stained

during any shower.

But rain's first day

in Spring's month, May,

will surely have great power.

Here comes a storm.

I will warn

collect its energy.

Before three nights

use it right

or water it will be.

Do not hide.

Stand outside.

Water spirits talk.

Gifts of love

fall from above.

Come with me and walk.

* In order to receive the blessings of fairies when gathering rain with a silver spoon, the rain must also bounce off a flat stone and then be placed on a frequently misplaced object.
