Novus Terra (New Earth)

Nuclear and coal energies
Dependent and need dost flower
Why do we rely
On such archaic means of power

Terra is blessed with sun and wind
There is no reason for thine antique form
To keep us all - For the future
From the begin

Now is the time, the reason, and the why
Terra is at kneel, blooded - we all cry
Why do the common Terran put up with such rot
Governments only think of money, the miserable lot

Enviro plans are cheap, common, and easy
So wouldn't you love to live
On a Terra Firma
That's clean and breezy?

There is NO reason
For coal or nuclear power you see
When Terra - our planet
Has energy for you and me

So start the search yourself
Don't wait for the government
They're not interested in Terra
And that is the sum of it

Websites showing all instruction
With ease and great care
We are Terran and Terra is our home
Let's heal it, nay go to destruction.

So next time when you see
Your electricity or gas bill don't glare
There IS a simple clean solution
If only you care.

Make a stand now
For the present and future
Don't wait for others
So do everybody a favour and be mature.

(I have been thinking about the greenhouse effect, and governments etc ..... and I thought - why wait for the governments to do something? If  (in Australia) coal powered electricity stations are the biggest cause of the greenhouse problems, why not make the reason for them being there obsolete ....... hence I started research into solar and wind turbine generators that the average "Joe" could make himself to power his own home - those thoughts are the source for this poem).

For those that are seriously interested ..... yes there IS a book that shows you how to make your own wind turbine that will power your own home - it costs about $92 (AUD), which is less than our quarterly bill, which seems a full-on bargin to me, and yes - I am going to buy it next fortnight when I get paid ...... §handar.
