Veil Of Darkness

As I lay in weary slumber

I felt a darkness approach

its touch was like a heavy veil

As it reached into my soul

a heavy darkness took control

I struggle yet I do not move

I scream yet not a sound I make

Leave me alone I dont want to die

Cant you see I am not dead

It turned to leave,

took one more glance

In truth it didnt say a word and My dog Kacey got between me and the shadow person and the shadow retreated.
