Why is so?

That the youth of today are so attracted to the shadow forces of spirituality/occult? To be a vampire, or werewolf in nature is considered better than to be a person who is of the forces of the light side of spirituality and the occult.

Why do they seek to attract evil/dark spirits into their lives?

To be a "child" of the positive side of spirituality/occult doesn’t mean you have to be a nun or monk, or a saint for that matter. Nor does it mean you have to be a complete goody-goody either. All it means is that you seek .?or have found enlightenment ? An inner peace. It doesn’t matter what religion it is …? Whether it be neo-paganism, paganism, Hindu, Buddhist, or whatever.

In my opinion, the pressure to conform to the modern version of Christianity is putting more and more young people under pressure to go with the Christian teachings, without being shown that there is other spiritual means to gaining inner peace and self forfillment. So as act of rebellion ?whether it be against their parents, peers or society in general, they seek escape to, or the pseudo-comfort of the dark side of the spiritual world.

But like any addictive drug?it is only the illusion of an escape and/or comfort. Do any of those who are attracted to the dark side honestly believe that it is that desirable to be there? Or are they just deluded?

What is the repulsion of being a "child of light"? Has anyone ever seriously asked them? Well I just have, and to those of you who are attracted to the allure of the dark side ?I ask this question, and seek your opinion.

This is not to stir up a fight, or an argument, but merely one soul trying to understand something that a lot of people just close their minds to. To have a better understanding, and to gain knowledge.

So how about it? What are your opinions on this subject? I welcome input from all.

I am giving this thought.  I know my answer, but can't quite get it to sound right.  Be patient, my useless thoughts will be coming.

TY FD, you helped me to put into words what I have been trying to think how to say without making this a book.  There are those that only wish to be different or stand out from the crowd.  They don't necessarily have to believe in what they are doing as long as it gets them the results they desire.  Then there are those that think so lowly of themselves, they need a crutch to lean on to give them a feeling of power and strength.  Fear is a good power tool.  If you are feared, you are in power, so these individuals seek out what will give them power and attention.  That's my opinion and I'm stickin to it!
