Terms Used in Vampirism.
Awakening
The physical and mental changes that occur when someone awakens to their vampire nature. Awakening typically occurs during or shortly after puberty.
Blood Fetishist
Someone who is erotically attracted to the sight, taste, and/or smell of blood. They generally have no physical or psychological need for blood.
Bloodletting
The physical act of cutting or piercing the flesh in order to extract blood.
Blood Play
Similiar to bloodletting, it is the act of using blood in a sexual or fetish situation.
Chi
The Chinese term for life energy. It is also referred to as "pranic energy" or "life force".
Donor
A donor is someone who gives/shares their blood/life energy with out obligation.
Feeding
The act of consuming the blood/life energy from someone.
Grazing
When a vampire randomly and with out discretion feed upon unscreened donors/sources typically picked up in clubs or bars.
Haven
A safe place for vampires to meet and/or feed.
The Hunger
The desire to feed. The hunger is both a physical and psychological sensation. The Hunger is also called "the thurste"
Poser
Someone pretending or claiming to be a vampire, who is not.
Pranic Energy
A general term for the life energy found with in all living things. Its is also known as "psychic" or "chi".

Psychic Vampire
Someone who draws the life force psychically from their donors. Usually psychic vampires do not consume blood. They are also called "psy-vampire" or "psi-vampire".
Real Vampire
A real vampire is someone who has a physical and/or psychological thirste/need for the life energy rather it be by blood or psychically. Real vampires usually share such characteristics such as sensitivity to light, above average night vision, strong immune systems, and tend to be night people by nature.
Sanguinarian
Someone who has a physical and/or psychological craving for blood. They draw the pranic energy through the blood. They are also referred to as "blood vampire".
Sexual Vampirism
A form of psychic vampirism where feeding is done primarily from sexual energy with or with out blood.
Vampyre
Someone who has incorporated fictional vampire imagery and lives the lifestyle. Usually a vampyre has no physical or psychological need for the pranic energy.
