Love

I am thinking that love is such a great thing and one which we need much more of. So I thought to give just a short vision of love. First, look at Ruth. She had so much love for her mother-in-law that she left her own homeland, her parents and friends, to go to a strange land with Naomi. Even though her husband, Naomi’s son, was dead, this did not stop Ruth from giving up her all to return to Israel with Naomi. Naomi tried to get her two daughters-in-law to return to their own families. But Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave you. That is so powerful. She was begging Naomi not to ask her to leave her.

This eventually led to her finding another and wonderful husband, Boaz. It is such a great love story. This brought Ruth into the family line of David, leading to Jesus. What a special blessing she found by staying with her mother-in-law. And I think what a wonderful person Naomi must have been. Very few women love their mother-in-law. And seems very few mother-in-laws love their daughters-in-law.

Another great love story is of Esther. She showed such a good nature and obedient love for her uncle, who had raised her, that it led her to becoming the Queen of King Ahasuerus.

Esther was a very beautiful woman. This led the king to love her more than all his other women. So when the wicked Haman went about to have all the Jews destroyed, this great love Ahasuerus had for Esther led to her being able to save the lives of all the Jews and the eventual destruction of the wicked Haman.

Then in the Song of Solomon we are told of a great love between the bride and the bridegroom. It is most touching as you study and see how this virgin went about in the streets seeking her loved one. The men of the city caught her and wounded her. This, I think, shows that tribulation the saints have had to endure to serve Jesus. This is a great book to study. It finally ends with the bride and groom getting together after much trouble trying to get together.

So I find these three books very intriguing with revealing of how great love is and how it brings good to our world. So May you find much love and enjoyment in the study of these three books of love. I very much enjoy reading them and get a lot out of them.

Lovejoy

Heb 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

I love reading about the women of the bible, and the love they show, and of God's love. Thankyou for sharing this with us all, hugs Chrissie
