Safe with Jesus

by Pastor Simon

Do not be frightened and intimidated in anything by your opponents and adversaries, for such [constancy and fearlessness] will be a clear sign [a sure token and evidence] of your deliverance, and that from God.

Philippians 1:28 - Amplified Bible

The way that Goliath came out against the armies of Israel shows how trouble likes to come out against you. Trouble presents itself looking immense and sounding like the end of everything. The devil projects it this way to create fear and dismay in you. He knows fear and dismay can separate you from the upholding hand of God! To counter this the Lord declares, "Fear not!" Isa.41:10:13.

As Jairus walked with Jesus fear struck out at him. They were going together to his home so Jesus could heal his daughter. As they went people met him telling him, "Your daughter is dead." At this moment Jesus chose to speak out. He turned to him and said, "Fear not, only believe!" Fear threatened Jairus' faith walk. It moved to overwhelm him and stop him. If he stopped how would his daughter be saved? Nevertheless, Jesus was there for Jairus when fear moved against him. Likewise He's there for you. He says, "I will never leave you nor forsake you!" Mar.5:36; Heb.13:5.

It was to the Lord that Jehosaphat the king looked when he was tempted to give place to fear. He displaced fear with praise, precious promises and petition! Resort to Jesus and resort to His precious promises. Refuse to be shaken by the awful sight of trouble. Look to Jesus your Shepherd when trouble comes against you! Do as Jehosaphat did and God will deliver you! 2Chron.20.

Give no place to fear and its intimidation

Thank you, chrissie, for this very beautiful message.  And I thank you for joining us here to help send out the true Light of Jesus Christ.  We surely need help in this site, as we have never built it up.  But there are many great and true messages here for anyone who wishes to study and learn.
