Acts 2:  47   Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

48~~`And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

I am amazed as I read things across the internet.  How can anyone claim to be a teacher of the Word of God,     read the above two verse...   and still claim that being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ has nothing to do with being baptized in WATER?

I just read where someone, who fancies themselves to be such a glorious, top-notch teacher,  who said that it has nothing to do with WATER baptism.

They must not be able to read, or else words have no meaning to them.  I think they are just so blind that they read anything they wish to into the word of God, and delete anything they do not like.

Look at it.  Peter said..   can any man forbid    WATER.   is that word water, or not?  can you read?

that these should not be baptized as we were.   then Peter,  mind you that is Peter, the one with the keys to the kingdom.   mind you, Jesus gave them to Peter......he COMMANDED, ....yes, It said   COMMANDED    (IT IS NOT A CHOICE;  IT IS A NT COMMANDMENT)   TO BE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD.
IF THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WATER, WHY DID PETER ASK, CAN ANY MAN     FORBID   WATER,   FOR THEM TO BE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

(seems there must have been some of these same false teachers even then......claiming it has nothing to do with WATER BAPTISM.   )  Peter made it clear that he means  WATER BAPTISM.......MUST BE DONE IN THE NAME OF JESUS FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS.

HOW DARE ANY OF YOU DENY THIS?  HOW DARE YOU MINISTERS OF SATAN LIE AND CALL THIS WORD A LIE......TEACHING FOR DOCTRINE THE LIES OF MAN?

p.s. If I have posted this one time, I have posted it innumerable times.....so has Larry.   yet we keep hearing these lies of man.   nonononono   it has nothing to do with water..nothing to do with remitting sins......nothing to do with salvation.

LIARS,   LIARS,  YOU ALL ARE   WHO DENY THIS WORD.

how can one be saved without getting their sins remitted?   who has the authority to do away with the way God chose to do this?  yea, even COMMANDED IT!!!
