Journey to the Promised Land
by Pastor Simon
Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross.
Hebrews 12:1-2 - NKJV
Watch out you don't camp out in some wilderness of your life! That wilderness may contain many unresolved issues for you. Nevertheless, if you insist that every issue has to be addressed and resolved before you move on then your attempt to resolve them is going to halt your journey to God's place of promise. Such insistence will be costly. Phil.3:12-16.
If you're stuck it's time to let go of those issues that affected you in order that you may move on. Better to reach the promised land having left behind those issues unresolved than not to reach the promised land at all. Recognise the situation here. God has a plan for you to journey to the place of your inheritance in Christ Jesus, which is your promised land. Whereas the devil has a strategy to stop this happening. Whenever you get fixated on dealing with something that arose in your past and now has little chance of resolution then you provide him with a means of carrying out his strategy. Leave the incidents of the past in the past and deal with the life issues of today. Release past issues, focus on present ones. Heb.12:1-2, 11:14-16.
The call of God on your life is to head for the bright future of His design. God has a good place in life for you. He wants to see you make it out of the desolate places into His place of promise. Let Jesus be your Joshua! As the children of Israel followed Joshua into the Promised Land so, likewise, follow Jesus into the inheritance He has prepared for you. 1Cor.9:24.

Thank you, chrissie, for this lovely message. if only people could learn to leave things in the Hands of God and let him take care of it, how much better off we would all be. |
