Daily light on the daily path.

Devotional compiled by Jonathan Bagster.

July 23 - Morning.

Then cometh the end. I Cor. 15:24

Of that day and that hour knoweth no man no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. Mark 13:32, 33, 37

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. II Pet. 3:9

The coming of the Lord draweth nigh. The judge standeth before the door. James 5:8, 9

Surely I come quickly. Rev. 22:20

Seeing ... that ail these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness? II Pet. 3:11

The end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. I Pet. 4:7

Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; and ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. Luke 12:35, 36

Brethren, pray for us. I Thess. 5:25

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up. Pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. James 5:14-18

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. Eph. 6:18

Without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers. Rom. 1:9

Always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. Col. 4:12

Patient in tribulation. Rom. 12:12

It is the LORD: let him do what seemeth him good. I Sam. 3:18

Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, but I would make supplication to my judge. Job 9:15

The LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. Job 1:21

What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? Job 2:10

Jesus wept. John 11:35

A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief. Isa. 53:3, 4

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows. Heb. 12:6, 11

Whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. Col. 1:11

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness.-In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief. Rom. 4:20

Have faith in God. Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:22-24

Without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God, must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Heb. 11:6

He that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead. Heb. 11:17-19

Being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. Rom. 4:21

Is any thing too hard for the LORD? Gen 18:14

With God all things are possible. Matt. 19:26

Lord, increase our faith. Luke 17:5

An highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. Isa. 35:8

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD. Hos. 6:3

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. John 14:2

Dear Flame,
Greetings to you.
I prepare and send out these all-scripture devotional twice daily to well over 250 groups. I have another email message also to be sent to my whole mailing list from today.
Moreover, I have to maintain a group of my own.  It is available at http://groups.msn.com/BibleFriend  So, I am pressed out of measure with regard to time.
I send out my messages only by email which reaches the General Board.  This is the mode by which I send messages to all these groups. It is not possible to go over to individual groups and post the messages on specified boards or threads.
Any way, if you so desire, I will come to your group and post the evening's message for every first Sunday.  So, that will be just one posting instead of 60 or 62 per month.
May God bless you.
dalfrath.

Hello Delfrath,
You may do so if you wish.  But we are such a small group here.  not real action or members, so it is not necessary.  But we welcome them if you wish to do so.

I just do not wish the General board filled this way.  Even  though I have not real action here, I store some of my messages here.

If anyone finds this I would like for them to see some of my messages, since they are deep teaching messages.

Thank you for all you do.

Jo

Dear Flame,
I will try to post the Bible Verses into your other group, though I find very limited to do so.  Even there, I am much behind the calendar date. Here, there is not much activity, except for the posting of your messages.
God willing, I will visit this group once in a way to post some Bible verses, other than the Daily Light selection. May God bless you.

(2Ti 3:16) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

(2Ti 3:17) That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Thank you Delfrath.  That is very lovely and we love the Word of God.

I appreciate what you do,  but if it is much of a 'hardship' on your time, then it is ok if you do not chose to post them either here or Build on the True Foundation.

Although we welcome them, I understand your position.  And it is ok if you choose not to post them.

Thank you and God bless you and your ministry.  My ministry is the EXPOUNDING of the Word, so I must keep that in the forefront.
