Hope this is the right board , Went to a local garden centre and looking around the pet's area we notice a large cat tree so off we go and ask for the price !!!! when caz picked me off the floor I ask about discount beening it was the last one.............£150 less dis £140 hummm thank you  for finding out for us off we went.

Looking around at work seen a nice tree post thank you very much just the job. looking through my bits of timber which i save because you never know when you will need a piece of wood,  up pops 3 flat good bits of 3/4 ply thank you very much. Went into the out side storage area checking for mice and up in the corner was a good bit of space carpet  thank you very much just the job.

Caz went around to her parents the other day and was telling them what we was going to do and her dad gave her a big ball of thick string. With all these bit we made this thing below, it is bigger than the one in the g/c and is a lot stronger too. the cost of it was just love and care for the cats.......
regards rich & caz

ps the alex love's it ..........thank god i would of glued him to it other wise....lol

Well must say that is brilliant and will probably last a good deal longer than that expensive one too.
Liz.

Oh well done you two, I've wanted one of those for my old Smudge for ages, but like the UK they're a ridiculous price. Great team you make, you on the woodworking Rich and I can see it would take the patience of a woman to wind those miles of string..good on ya Caz
Must tell you I had a real chuckle at the thought of you gluing Alex
to the top, lol.

Hmmmmm...let's see if I could find any plywood and string.....
Thanks for sharing and I might just use your idea .

That's fabulous Rich........ nearest I've got is Bluebell's shelf and ramp, made of MDF, Fablon (sticky back plastic Bee 'n' Char!!!) and sandpaper.  It bridges the gap between her shelf and the chair, stopping her from falling down in between, and the ramp flaps down with a hinge and the sandpaper manicures her nails for her while she trots up and down |(which is frequently lol!!)

.........if you look hard you can just see one sleepy liddle eye among the white bedding....wondering what the heck am I doing grovelling on the floor while a girl's trying to get her booty sleep lolololol!!!

It must have taken ages to do the twine... Well done..!!!

That's certainly a job well done you two - and I bet it's a lot sturdier than the one you saw in the shop.
