At our craft group most of us are creating a patchwork quilt.  The idea is that the highest bidder who visits our local hospice shop wins it, the proceeds being donated to the hospice.

I took this photo today, showing the piles of materials waiting to be sewn together.  There are about twelve ladies sitting around a long table, but could not show them all.

Periodically when more work has been done, I will take more photos of our progress.
Liz.

My other favorite hobby Liz....sewing...Good luck on the Quilt.. that sure does need a group to complete because of all the repetitive sewing involved...and going to such an important cause too.My lifelong girlfriend is very very ill and likely need the support of a Hospice in the near future.

I have just got into sewing again...making clothes.... with all this wet weather here...non stop for days almost... the fingers got real figerty and the brain too....Luv Dianne

Looks like quite a job Liz.  It must take a lot of patience to do such fiddly repetitive work.  Sewing has never been my thing but I've always admired these patchwork quilts.  It'll be interesting to see work progressing.

I keep thinking that I'd like to have a go at quilting Liz, but I think realistically I ought to wait a few years until I have a bit more time on my hands!
I look forward to seeing the progress that you and your group make.
Gilly
