Spirit Dancer - the second of my Native American girls.  Still on my frame but complete at last (after nearly 3 years!!).  Now I jut need to mount her onto some stiff card, and get her and her sister Earth Dancer properly framed.   Dad..................?????...................!!!

And Earth Dancer......

Typical of me - I've already started my next project - more cross stitch - a Kingfisher, and then after that I've a Barn owl lined up!!

And I keep meaning to dig out my needlecraft CD-ROM to create my own patterns....... *sigh* - if only I had more time lol!!!

Hi Nouf,

I am so sorry but I honestly thought I had replied to this before now, they are both looking really super and will look even more stunning once framed and on display. To my mind 3 years sounds pretty quick considering all the other things you cram into your life and I well know the frustration sometimes of sitting stitching for several hours and to have only completed maybe an inch square at the end.

Well now once I have finished the latest batch of knitting I can feel the urge to finish my (several) incomplete projects.

Thank you so much for sharing those with us Nouf and looking forward to seeing the barn owl when he is done.

Hugs Sam x

P.S. What count is that done on? it looks like linen to me, maybe worked over 2 squares?

Watching friends at my Craft Group working such stitching I can really appreciate the amount of dedication you have put into it Nouf.  It is really beautiful and wish I had your gift.

I have started a tapestry.  At first the stitches were too tight so that corner is twisted and will have to be undone, now moving on an inch or so, it is starting to look much better but wont be able to show it to you for about three years or so lol.
Liz.

Noufie, I think those are just so beautiful and will look even more so once you get them framed, and you must get them done, because it would be such a shame not to have them on show!!
I know how many hours of work has gone into those, and they should be under glass to stop them getting dusty, they are family heirlooms.
Well done Noufie, they are gorgeous!
Love Mary.xxxx

Absolutely brill Noufie, I'm so far behind that I thought you would be finishing Earth Dancer,
I've never attempted a large one like your two, started with tiny ones and have to admit  that, having managed to finish them, I might not have enough years left to tackle a big'un.  lol
Well done that gal.. as Mary said  they'll become family heirlooms and will prob end up on Antiques Roadshow worth 100,000 pounds..
Great to see them finished and they were def. a worthwhile project eh?
Luv and Hugs    Bee
