Peel and chop pears,I throw in the pineapple too.( You want this chopped almost to a mush).I put this mixture in a heavy large pan.I add the sugar and lemon juice.
Cook this on medium heat. Cook down until you get the thickness you like. I cooked it about 30 min, after it started to boil. Stir often .
Put in hot sterilized jars and seal
Makes 6-8oz. jars.
