I know Mura's filters have been around forever and a lot of us know about them already, but I've ran across several people lately who don't know about this effect and thought it would make a good challenge with us coming into wreath season.

You can come up with so many cool effects using Mura's Meister/Copies.  If you don't have it, you can get it HERE.

Here are a few tags I've made with Mura's Copies 'Encircle':

And this one is a reallyyyyyyyyy old one...lol

One of the great things about this filter is that each tube you use will completely change the outcome of your wreath or circle, and like in my second tag, sometimes not come out as a circle at all...lol

Two things to keep in mind...your tube needs to be pretty small so that your wreath will fit on your canvas when Mura's does it's magic, and the tube needs to be in the exact center of your canvas (this happens automatically when you paste it on as a new layer).

Have fun experimenting with different tubes to get an effect you like...you can use sprigs of holly, evergreen, pine cones, flowers, pretty much anything you want...I even discovered that some of the mitten tubes make cute wreaths and snowflakes as well.  You can also use this effect on text, though it takes quite a bit of tweaking sometimes to make it come out correctly, shorter names are much easier than longer names.

Now for the technical stuff:

Choose 'Encircle' from your menu...yeah, there's a lot of cool choices in there, and you can play with those as well if you like, but we're doing a wreath so don't get too sidetracked...lol  If you haven't played with this filter before, you're gonna have so much fun!

You can adjust your top slider (Number) to increase or decrease the amount of copies of your tube that will be in your wreath.

Shift X and Shift Y will increase or decrease the height and width of your wreath...you could do an oval one if you wish.

You need not be limited to Christmas with this effect, of course you can use all kinds of things to make what you want and add your own baubles and decorations.

I hope you have fun with this...I'm gonna set you loose now to go be creative, but make sure you come back and show us what you make...I can't wait!
