MAGNOLIA GARDENS EASY PEACH COBBLER

3 cups sliced fresh peaches (I use more peaches.)
    1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 cup self-rising flour
    1 egg
    1 cup sugar
1 stick butter or margarine, melted

Place peaches in buttered ovenproof baking dish.  sprinkle with lemon juice, cinnamon and nutmeg.  Mix flour, egg and sugar to a coarse crumb texture.  Spread over peaches.  Pour melted butter over flour mixture.  Bake, uncovered, at 350 degress, for 30 to 35 minutes. (I usually bake longer until the crust is brown - of course, I like crusts, bread, etc., very brown.)  Serves 6.
