While not agreeing with everything within this handbook issued to people desiring to become Rangers, it is a valuble source of information on battlefield strategy for small unit commanders and those serving underneath them. The Ranger mentality is a warrior mentality, and there are those that live by the Ranger Creed as the samurai lived by Bushido. So come on and read the basic instruction book of america's finest warriors, The U.S. Army Rangers.
One fine day, a commander in the Iraqi Republican Guard decided to take his battalion out for a bit of training...As the troops were marching through the desert they came by a cliff. Atop of the cliff was a Army Ranger jeering down and making fun of the Commader. Well the commander gets annoyed and sends up a squad to take care of the Ranger. As his squad goes over the top of the cliff, he hears all sorts of noise...then silence. Suddenly the Ranger is back at the edge of the cliff laughing and jeering again. The commander sends a platoon this time to do the job. Once again as the platoon disapears over the top of the cliff, sounds of fighting breaks out then silence...And the ranger once again is up there still jeering...This time the commander is seriously enraged, and sends a whole company up there. The company charges over the hill, all hell breaks loose...screams of horror and fear...then suddenly one Iraqi soldier stumbles over the top of the cliff...beaten and haggard, screaming RUN! IT's and ambush! There's two of them!
