Inuit seek answers to Arctic sun quirks

Some Inuit say they hope scientists coming to Nunavut for research as part of International Polar Year can help shed light on changes they're seeing in the sun ?particularly, how it's been showing up more often in the usually always-dark winters.

Darm humans! The stuff we put in the air can even change sun rays.

If you notice the map of the hollow earth one can see that the melting of the glaciers are caused from years and years of UFO's having their space stations underneath them. Geez... just think of how much heat and chemicals eventually move upwards and destroy the ice from the bottom up. What does go on in that inner world? A theory is that ufo's put humans on this earth, and that the term, "when 'he' comes back, the earth will explode...end of life..." ufo's are 'jesus', and eventually they will blow up the earth when they are finished with their stations; or, something down there in the Hollow Earth will blow up... whichevers.

I'm only half-way jesting about the UFO stations, btw. Maybe not even halfway jesting. Maybe the idea of mirrors pointed towards the sun is to blind ufo's from finding their stations on earth, under the poles.

I am confused, however, after reading that global warming, which is supposed to flood half of the world and make N.W.Arkansas ocean front property again, is also going to cause drought in other places? Like we don't already have that in some places.

I'd consider saving to buy lush warm pasture/cropland in the North Pole area when it comes about; but, I'm worried about the residuals from the ufo bases underneath. However, it might grow some giant beanstalks.

And, bytheby, I think it's 'bout time consumers learned to start eating whatever they can get. Even if it's a chicken with black penfeathers or an apple with an organic, protein-rich worm inside it, unless they can grow their own food.

The days of strife mayb be getting closer. At least it isn't an ice-age.

The next ice age could begin any day.

Next week, next month, next year, it's not a question of if, only when. One day you'll wake up -- or you won't wake up, rather -- buried beneath nine stories of snow. It's all part of a dependable, predictable cycle, a natural cycle that returns like clockwork every 11,500 years.

. . . And since the last ice age ended almost exactly 11,500 years ago . .

Magnetic Reversal Due? ?The strength of Earth's magnetic field -
the force that protects us from deadly radiation from outer space - has been
weakening dramatically. Although scientists have been tracking this decline
for more than100 years, they’ve disagreed about what it means. Some say
it’s a precursor to reversal, others argue that it’s a temporary phenomenon.

But Gauthier Hulot of the Paris Geophysical Institute has discovered Earth's
magnetic field seems to be disappearing most alarmingly near the poles, a clear
sign that a flip may soon take place.

'Earth's magnetic field has disappeared many times before - as a prelude to
our magnetic poles flipping over, when north becomes south and vice versa,'
said Dr Alan Thomson of the British Geological Survey in Edinburgh.
'Reversals happen every 250,000 years or so, and as there has not been
one for almost a million years, we are due one soon.'
