‘Rottweiler and mermaid�?fish cross identified

THE mystery of a deepwater game fish that looks like a cross between a “rottweiler and a mermaid�?has been solved. Caught 26 nautical miles off Port Alfred during a fishing competition this week, the seldom-seen longsnout lancetfish was such an unusual catch, it left 150 anglers and an emeritus professor scratching their heads.
