For those making backgrounds, you have lots of time to do this.
Make up some cheat sheets in MSN.  When you click to enter borders, add
a size 1 and a color (not black).  You can also change the 1 to 0 later, and the color if you want to keep the border of 1.  At least it there if you need it and can easily change the color.  Instead of putting a tile in the background, enter Tile 1 for the first one,
Tile 2, for the second one, Tile 3, for the 3rd, etc.
Do all your borders though even if you don't think you will use them.

Where you have background=Tile 1, you will replace Tile 1 with your direct link to your background tile.
It is easy.  Replace Tile 2, with your tile for Tile 2, etc.  You can also take a page you've already done and
just change the tiles with the new tile link.  It is very simple.

You can make up several cheat sheets and save them.  They would be ready for your new tiles.  Save all your
backgrounds at Aimoo.  You can set your group to private.  I won't have our group public, it is private.  You can
see the menu's on the message board, but you can't see anything we do.

Sema, you should know me by now.  You think I'm going to let you give up on backgrounds.  Did I give up on you
for your doing your own html?  It ain't gonna happen.  If I can, you can too.

Anything above the first <table class> can be deleted.  If you leave it that is why there is a space above the top of your background.

To change the borders - you change from my color  (#0099cc) to your color.  The change is where I have it in red.
To change the padding to make that first tile wider is the 50 width.  Say you want it to be 35.  The change is where I have it in green.
The blue Tile 1 is where you copy the direct link from your image hosting site of your tile you want for the outer tile and put inside the quote marks.
border=1 - you can set this to 2 for wider border or set it to 0 for no border.
The line of code with the change in orange is the middle tile and it is set to white.  You can change it to suit yourself.
It is then just a matter of changing each table class line of code where I have marked in colors.
