I have made it a tradition to take my children to the Veteran's Day Parade each year. I doubt anyone else knows this but Birmingham, Alabama hosts the largest Veterans Day Parade anywhere in the nation. Before this war, we had many tanks in the parade but there will still be some. The Blue Angels would always fly two planes overhead of parade and they would turn side ways and go between the skyscrapers. I haven't seen them in past few years but we still host the biggest parade.
It is a day I always get misty eyes as I see so many veterans past, and the ones who are also homeless downtown. It is a day to remember them each and all.
Remember too any veterans get to eat free at Ryan's Tuesday.
