Let's face it, anyone in their 40's or 50's, grew up watching Walt Disney. I'll be the first to say, I admire the man and what he stood for. He was one of the true pioneers of our time. He was willing to go against "What's in" and create something out of the ordinary. Without Walt Disney's determination to create his dream, we wouldn't know what TV cartoons are.  As we look at the current "Disney Head Goofys", Have you stopped and realized there is nothing left behind, of this man, except for his name? The newest "Disney" family is no longer interested in creating new new things, they had rather sit back and continue to reap and try their best to safe guard the rewards that Walt left them. (We used to call it "Riding Someone's Coat Tail") Their idea of something new and interesting is following someone else. If Sci-Fi movies are in, that's what they are going to produce.

Now look at the newest trends...The latest news out of Disney, they are going to stop producing scenes that show smoking in their movies. That would be fine, if they were going to ban and shelve all of their movies that they have already produced. You and I know they won't. Seems to me like they are saying..."Yea, We will do the right thing as long as it don't affect our pocket".

Another thing that comes to my mind...since Disney heads have announced this, why haven't they issued a statement concerning one of their biggest stars, Lindsay Lohan? They no longer want the younger viewing audience encouraged by smoking but its OK to use cocaine and drive a vehicle under the influence of any drug or alcohol?

I think I would sweep my own floors before telling someone else their floor was dirty...

All of this comes down to a newer version of the old joke...Mickey Mouse is dead, Minnie took over and now she is F****** Goofy.

What do you think?

I think old Walt must be rolling over in his grave.
