Deep Dark Chocolate Pudding

  • 5 egg yolks
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 6 ounces chopped bittersweet chocolate; 2 ounces shaved, for garnish
  • 1 tbsp. coffee liqueur
  • 1陆 cup whipped cream, for garnish

Place egg yolks in a bowl and whisk lightly; put aside. Put cream and unshaved chocolate in a medium saucepan over low heat, whisking constantly. Gradually whisk cream-chocolate mixture into yolks, adding 录 cup at a time. Pour back into saucepan. Cook over low heat; stir constantly, until mixture coats spoon, about 5 minutes. Add liqueur. Pour into medium serving bowl or individual ramekins/dessert dishes. Cool slightly; cover with plastic wrap and chill.  Once chilled, serve with whipped cream and shaved chocolate. Serves 4.
