I'll never forget, the day you came to Marry my Eldest Sister, That stands out so clear, You held her in your heart so dear. Then away you were sent, To those very strange shores Only to return home, Bandaged, RED Tie and all. Then as soon as you were fit, You were sent away again, Ne'er ever to sit, with me on your knee, and tell me those stories, I'll Never forget. Dear Dennis Calogreedy. Then came along another Dennis, He was Oh so, Tall, He and I got on Famously, You too were to marry my sister, Again, only to be sent across the Sea, To help the defence forces in that terrible battle .... A piece of flying shrapnel, Caused your fatal wound, And again Black armbands, were on all our sleeves. I'll Never forget you Dear Dennis McCree. Bob was my Brother, He too donned the Khaki , And fought for our Country, Came home from D'Day, Red Tie and all, A sign to all he had been wounded you see, The Shrapnel entered his neck one side and left a round mark, and a long scar on the other side, where the docs took it out!! You bought it home and were oh so proud, when you showed me the torn metal, I too was proud of my Brother I'll never forget you Bobby !!! I was born in England, but now I am living in Australia for so long (1966) ....I remember my fallen Family, on Anzac day. May they rest in peace. MY BROTHERS.
