WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT STARTING GROUPS

1. Pick a catchy name for your group. Preferably not too long.

2. Make your group public restricted to begin with. You can change it to private later on.

3. Make a nice banner for your group

4. Promote your group in as many groups as you are allowed to.

4. Make simple rules that everyone can abide by.

5. Add threads that will interest different types of members or according to your type of group.

6. Add a communication thread for members to communicate with each other. (Important)

7. Post every day and answer each of your members posts.

8. Add safe tags to your group. Most members love tags.

9. Keep your threads and games interesting.

10. Invite people you know and in groups you belong to, if the manager allows it.

11. Respect all members and do not allow any negativity or arguing in the group.

12. Screen members carefully and watch for spammers.

13. If you need an assistant always make sure you know the person really, really well.

14. Family, friends, people and places come first. Meaning, take care of yourself first.

The group should be last or you will burn out quickly. Take time to relax.

15. Last but not least, be a manager that all your members will respect.
