Dear ---------------------, Thank you for applying to join Free Graphics For Everyone Main Site. Glad you have found your way to our site. Please take a few minutes to let us know how you found our group? If you were referred by another group or by one of our members, let us know as we are starting an award to give to groups and/or members who refer members to us. This letter goes to all applicants to verify emails and let us save your email so we can contact you in the event of the site disappearing or some other unforseen thing. We make sure everyone know how to hide their email address (see tutorial at the end of the letter) and the tutorial is snaggable if you need it for your group. It is the best way we can protect ourselves from spammers! We send this letter as it gives you an opportunity to save our email to your address book so you can reach us if you need us. Please come to the group and read your welcome to the group as there is good information there for you to start finding your way around the group. We do enforce copyright and artists' TOU, so please DO NOT post anything without the proper copyright. If you need any help please feel free to ask as the subject of copyright can be very confusing. We have simple to understand info available to our members. Also please leave ALL credits intact if you snag. We have a safe artist list coming in 2008 which will be posted in the group for your use so you do not, by mistake, get art from artists MSN frowns upon. Everything on our site is safe!!! Be sure to check out our safe artist list once its posted. We will always be adding more artists and sometimes removing artists because they revoke permission and go to selling their own tubes. At the end of this note is an example of how your email setting should be set. Once you get signed in go to the what's new page & at the bottom of the grey column on the left side of the page or at the right hand top of the page just right of the welcome message you will see members tools click on that then click on my email setting. If you already have it set this way thanks in advance. Please check into the group within the latest 48 hrs. You will have a welcome message on the general board with more info for you. they will load your mailbox full of spam emails -
use your email address to hack into it and get your personal information -
use your email address to join adult rated sites -
can use your IP address to hack your computer and steal your personal information, files, etc -
they can hack into your groups and erase what you have built or spam the group pretending to be you Showing your email address or posting from your email is like opening your front door to your home and allowing thiefs into your home to take whatever they want. To prevent this from happening please follow the directions below.
Step #1
Click on the page "What's New". Look at your right side of your screen and you will see the following:

Uncheck the box to hide your email. To stop posting from email, choose "ON THE WEB" under messages. So it should look like this:
