It has been repoted that during the large scuffle between PWT, FWA and W2K superstars took place, Scott Blaze, self proclaimed wrestling icon, was injured. Immediatly as RAGE went off the air, Scott was helped from the ring and was seen limping up the ramp, favoring his left leg as trainers and friend Ace Hart supported his weight. After visiting the in house doctor, it was determined that sometime during the large brawl, Scott seperated the hamstring muscle from the bone almost completely in his left leg, much like the injury sustained by the WWE's Triple H a few years back.

Scott will be flying back to Toronto Ontario, his home, to undergo surgery and will be out for, at the very least 6 months. There have been rumors that, due to the nature of this injury, Scott Blaze will be retiring from the wrestling industry indefinatly, but as has been proven by his countless returns, Scott Blaze and retirement do not generally go hand in hand. We will try to get an update on Scotts condition, and his future in W2K, and wrestling in general, after the surgery which is set to take place tommorrow morning.

As was reported earlier in the week, Scott Blaze, wrestling Icon, suffered an injury this past week on RAGE during the large brawl that took place, seperating his quad, once believed to be his hamstring, from his leg almost entirely, a very similar injury as the one sustained by the WWEs Triple H a few years ago. Scott arrived back in Toronto on the 31st of October and had successful surgery performed to reattach the muscle on November 1st, his 38th birthday. Paul Lombardi was able to get a hold of Scott for a breif interview. You can read what the wrestling icon had to say now, below.

Paul: Scott Blaze, thanks for taking the time to do the interview.

Scott: No problem

Paul: So can you tell us exactly what happened to you? When exactly you realized that something was wrong?

Scott: Yeah, well earlier in the day on the 30th my leg was a little sore but I thought nothing of it, I thought maybe I just slept strange and had pulled a muscle. I popped a few asprin and went on my day without noticing it. It wasnt until that big fight during RAGE, I reached up and kicked someone, and when I put my leg back down I fell to the mat in pain. One of the guys noticed that I was actually in real pain, and threw up an X signal, a trainer came out and got me out of the ring and helped me to my feet. I couldnt put even an ounce of weight down on the leg, and so I had to have a couple of trainers and Ace(Hart) help me up the ramp. They did some scans in the back, and found out that the muscle was torn almost completely off. What kind of luck is that right? I finally come back after healing up all my injuries and I immediatly get hurt again.

Paul: Well whats next for you now? Do you know when you'll be able to return to action?

Scott: Christ, that wont be for a while yet......the doctors said that it will be at least half a year before I can even put significant weight on it. Which means it'll be about a year before I can even THINK of stepping into a wrestling ring again. For now all I can do is sit at home and watch television while I wait for the okay to start physical therapy, then I'll be doing that 5 days a week and hopefully, if all goes well, I'll be set to return by around the end of 2007 or beginning of 2008.

Paul: Why is it that Triple H was able to come back so much sooner?

Scott: Well, Trips went back, but from what I heard it was against doctors orders, I'm going to play it safe. I'm 38 years old now, I thought I was ready to just step back into the ring but obviously I havent been taking enough care of myself so I'm going to just follow what the doctors tell me, and wait that amount of time, then hopefully, by 2008 at the latest, you'll see Scott Blaze back in the ring.

Paul: Alright Scott, well we here at W2K hope you have a speedy recovery, and cant wait till you return, good luck to you and thank you for this interview.

Scott: Your welcome.
