I just realized that I'm quite bipolar. Just a bit ago, Shifty was drinking spoiled milk, trying to prove how hardcore he was, and now he's as serious as ever. Whatever, go with it.

~Shifty was sitting back in his dressing room, reviewing the booking sheet for Rage. He had heard about the High Risk Championship situation by word of mouth, but wasn't aware until just now that he had an actual match as well. If he wanted to win them both, which he did, he would have quite the night of work ahead of him. Shifty looked at the name of his upcoming opponent - Alchemist. He hadn't heard of him before, but that wasn't necessarily a good thing. He knew that he hadn't made his presence known in W2K yet, that was for sure. The strong, silent type, maybe? Either way, Shifty was more than aware of what he had cut out for him on Rage. There is a camera present in the room, good thing. Shifty was about to express his thoughts on the whole night, wouldn't want to miss that. He leaned forward, and placed the piece of paper on the short coffee table in front of him. He leaned back again for a moment, before once again noticing his acoustic guitar, which I neglected to mention was sitting on the other half of the loveseat that he was seated upon. He grabbed ahold of it, and sat upright, resting the guitar in it's proper position on his lap. He placed his fingers on the strings, and strummed a few notes. A wise musician once wrote, "Some people speak English, some people speak Spanish, I speak through music, so everyone can understand it.". (Confession time, it was me!) Music definitely got Shifty thinking in ways that ordinary conversation couldn't. Even from his brief moment of strumming on his guitar, it got his creative wheels turning to the point that he felt comfortable enough to vocalize his thoughts.~

Shifty~"My upcoming opponent goes by the name of Alchemist. I've never heard mention of this name before, at least not in the wrestling world. If you are from Detroit, like myself, or even just a fan of hip hop in general, also like myself, you would know that The Alchemist is the name of a famous producer, and was signed on to be Eminem's DJ for the Anger Management Three Tour. The man I'm facing obviously isn't a producer or a DJ, so what is he? The definition of an alchemist, is one who practices alchemy. Geez, thanks Merriam Webster. Alchemy, has several definitions, all which pretty much boil down to the miraclous power of transmuting something common, into something precious. Wow, that's heavy stuff. I would take it as a compliment, but seeing as how I already have a reputation, beating you won't turn me into anything more spectacular than I already am. I do appreciate the sentiment though. Of course, that could be referred to in terms of my stay here in W2K. I mean, so far, here, to these people, I'm not shit. Can't blame them for having that view, but I'll change their minds soon enough, that's certain. Another thing I noticed, was the funny little A that he put at the beginning of his name, look."

~Shifty reaches over his guitar, and once again grabs the booking sheet. He holds it so the camera can see, and points to the beginning of Alchemist's name.~

Shifty~"See that there? That's a Little Yus. It's one of the common Slavonic nasal vowels, in the early Cyrillic alphabet. We learn something new every day. Either the guy knows his history, or he just thought it looked cool. I'm betting on the latter."

~Shifty sets the paper down beside him, and returns his stare to the lens of the camera.~

Shifty~"Unless he's Slavic, which could be a possibility. Although, I don't know how he'd travel from one of the Slavic countries and end up in Texas, but mysteries happen all the time around us. Anyways, I requested that I get a few tapes on this guy, so that I can figure out what he's all about, but so far, nobody's been able to deliver. It's upsetting, but maybe he's new to the game, in which case, you got a bad first draw, buddy. See, it has now been brought to everyone's attention that in order for you to reach the next level, you're gonna have to go by me. Allow me to elaborate on that. In your wildest dreams, it could never happen. In your wildest fantasies, it could never happen. There is no such chance of this ever occuring. But on the twenty-third, you will get the opportunity. The opportunity to step in the ring with me, and show everyone what you're made of. Bring your girlfriend, bring whoever you want. Bring your mom, bring your dad, bring your kids if you have any, bring your pet dog. Bring your family, bring anyone. It doesn't really matter, because the Swinging Double Arm DDT, the Inferno, is lethal. And if I catch you in the first minute, or if I torture you, and I let you stick around for ten or fifteen minutes. Either way, the outcome will not change. The outcome will be courtesy, of the Inferno. I'm going to enjoy sending you face first into a firey pit of oblivion, with no way to break your fall, except for using your face. I've delivered this move, and forced people to leave companies. You haven't even gotten started here yet, what do you think that means for you? You will not win this match, it's a certainty. I won't call you yellow, or a coward if you don't show up, because in all honesty, I wouldn't blame you. While it's not how I would like to take the victory, I will if I have to, because I have more than just you to worry about that night."

~Shifty raises his arm and sets his guitar aside. I guess he'd received all the influence he was going to get from it at this point.~

Shifty~"I also have my sights set on that High Risk Championship. Ya know, maybe it's not all about proving how high risk you are before you get the chance to compete for the title, but showing how high risk you are WHILE you're competing for the title. I'll stop at no ends to make my mark here in W2K. No matter who I have to go through, what I have to do, I will leave Rage as the W2K High Risk Champion. When everyone shows up to watch me, I will not disappoint. It's been quite some time since I've handed out an Inferno, and I'm more than ready to deliver thousands if the situation should so call for it. My determination, focus, and desire will not be deterred. I will defeat Alchemist, and I will leave with the High Risk Championship. Remember, I always choose to look at things realistically."

~Shifty lifts his guitar into his lap once more, and begins playing a song. His singing can be lightly heard, as the scene fades to black.~
