There are some people out there who laid a question about the God of Wrestling tournament. How it has come to a stand still since Round 1, but as we all should know it’s because Round 2 is supposed to take place at South Texas Deathride and STD’s date hasn’t come up yet. The participants, one in particular, are very eager to get things underway. However this week is not the week, this week it’s not about fighting so much as it is making sure they don’t both go down.

Make plans with your present and future opponent to ensure that he will be your opponent, savvy?

A sly grin escapes the lips of The Crownless. He can appreciate a good chess match as he looks across at his friend Leon who happens to be mulling over his next move on an exquisite wooden chess table. Our unlikely hero in this case sinks down into his dark brown leather chair and watches him for a moment, a hand holding up his chin before he releases a sigh and turns to his right, looking into the camera.

“You know, a man of my former prestige could once enjoy a good back and forth chess match. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve done plenty of thinking, calculating, perhaps even some scheming. I was attacked in an exhibition match and I’ve since returned the favor to my attackers. Thus far it seems everything was in order until another move was made, this time it wasn’t an attack, but a strategic move that my friend over here is no doubt going to try on me.?/FONT>

He looks over at Leon who is still deep in thought as his eyes fall on the chess board.

“Slowly but surely it is coming back to me, but maybe it is already here? Perhaps I’ve had enough of this little game The Crownless is playing?but people will find that out soon enough. For now I’m quite enjoying our chess match, just remember, you initiated it but I plan on finishing it.?/FONT>

Leon finally makes his move and seems satisfied. Like all chess masters, especially after an adversary has taken such a long time in deciding what to do, Seifer puts him in check rather quickly.

“It could have been mate, mate. But I would rather continue this in a few moments.?He checks his watch, “I’ve got someone to meet so take all the time you’d like, we’ll resume this when I return.?/FONT>

He rises from the leather chair and steps outside into the hallways, yep, he was at the arena, he had made his locker room quite cozy. Walking a good twenty or thirty paces he finds the man he was supposed to meet ?his opponent for Meltdown.

“Drew.?/FONT>

“Seifer.?/FONT>

“Drew.

“Seifer.?/FONT>

They both look at one another and grin.

“Let’s talk outside.?/FONT>

Seifer walks towards the doors and Drew follows him, they head into the parking lot that was quite empty and take a little walk.

“You wanted to see me??/FONT>

“I figured talking here would be better than the arena; never know who might be lurking around a corner. Yes, it concerns our match. A match that CM set up, a preview to our second round match, only this one has no GoW implications.?/FONT>

“Which can only mean one thing.?/FONT>

“I never did thank you for coming out for the save the other week. Although it would have been ironic having ‘PWT?spray painted on my back, it’s still spray paint and not something I’d want to have to scrub off. But it was the ill fated gesture that would have led to problems had they been successful.?/FONT>

“No problem, as much as I was PWT as well, it seems as if CM’s got his own plans.?/FONT>

“Plans for his preservation no doubt; which brings me to our match, I say we go out there and put on a damned good show. We are the Main Event, after all.?/FONT>

“You know I’m always up for the challenge; there’s something else, isn’t there??Drew notes, knowing that he wouldn’t have asked him to meet him just to encourage him to put on a good show.

The Crownless smirks, “Of course. A PWT lumberjack match? Now I know there are a few PWTers out there who aren’t apart of the ‘clique?but all the same, you never know what tricks CM’s got up his sleeve. I say that if things end up getting rough, if it turns away from a lumberjack match and more into a four, five on two brawl, that we band together and make sure they don’t over power us. After all, I’d rather abandon the match this week and fight them off rather than be blind sided by anyone trying to make sure that there won’t be a match next week, if you catch my drift.?/FONT>

He pauses but continues before Drew can answer, “That is assuming they try anything. Though if I were a betting man…?/FONT>

He trails off, awaiting Drew’s response. Fade.
