The titles are frozen!?!!

Rage 131 comes on the air with Jerm and Hamid standing on stage. This is a rare, incredidly rare sight, as, the two may have to work together backstage, but on stage, it's something of a no-no to have the two together. Jerm says there's two announcements tonight, one concerning the titles, and one concerning the God of Wrestling 2008 Tourney.

He promises later in the night, there'll be a decision regarding the Titles; as W2K has two: The W2K Title itself, with the illustrious history of over 40 bearers, and the Impact title which has always served a jumping off point to stardom within the walls of W2K itself. But first on the docket is the GOW2008 tourney, which he is proud to say is as stacked as it's ever been: including his own son, Christian Michaels. The big news is that it will start at RAGE 132- and it will also include special stipulations for each match; up to and including Ryan and Hayden's titles being on the line!!

Match 1
Singles
Tani Lyons vs Rorie Steele
Tani puts up a fight, but this is actually going Rorie's way for the most part. It comes down to an irish whip, Rorie goes to the corner and, jumps up for a moonsault counter that Tani ducks; Rorie lands on her feet but falters to her knees and, stunts Tani as she turns into a three point Spear. Then the "FreankenSteele" puts Tani away for the 3 count.

Backstage, CM runs into Amber, and they have a nice brother-sister moment, as CM lets Amber know that NED has heard word of their re-arrival. "He's not gonna be happy", is Amber's response, but then CM answers, "He's already not happy, he's going to be flippin mad". The reunion continues as Jerm walks up between, a hand on each shoulder, and a big grin. "If only Javen were here," he bellows. "It's so good to be home, isn't it?"

Neither CM nor Amber seem amused.

Match 2
Singles
Tim Torn vs Amber Michaels
Amber, coming off a year with ring rust, holds her own and infact, can adapt to Tim's suicidal-like style. Catching his mistakes with precision-like feet and heels to the head and face, she's able to knock the sense out of him and reverse on of his high flying moves into a Roll up for the 1-2-3.

Con Escobar, #1 Contender- but to what, exactly, is the question. Hamid calls him to the onstage area and also calls Haywire and Cain; the Impact and W2K Champions. Hamid says that the title situation has been decided, and will be thusly: Fade 2 Black was set up explicitly to unite all the titles to force them all to be united, equal, and unparallelled. As such, right now, the W2K and Impact titles should be one and within the W2K Title as a whole. Therefore, Con Escobar is Ryan Cain's #1 contender.

Ryan rubs his chin, and Haywire seems unfazed. Hamid goes on to say that, the titles are seperate but equal- neither Ryan nor Haywire are the top champion because they drew at Fade 2 Black- and in any test of champions match that would set them on par as the same. But, this might be a curse more than a blessing, as since they are two seperate but equal titles, they *should be* one in the same, and thusly, they will have to each contend with their own rankings, and also collectively.

When Ryan asks just what the hell that means, Hamid smiles and tells him and all of W2K that Ryan is the W2K Champion, Haywire is indeed the Impact Champion- and they are both the Tag Champions. Sometimes.

Sometimes?

Depending, Hamid answers. It depends on the contenders, and whether or not a coupled team of the W2K Roster proves through wins that both deserve a title shot. At which time, the W2K and Impact titles will morph into the Tag Titles for that match- an dboth will change hands in the event of a loss. Ryan Cain and Haywire are Dual Champions.

And being a champion has just gotten much harder.

Match 3
Singles
Rain Storms vs Xavier Homicide
Xavier is slowly climbing the ranks here, as he and Rain- the former Championess who many in the back expected to possibily be W2K Champion right now, match toe to toe, until Xavier he jabs Rain, using a few boxing punches to knock her off kilter near the end of the match and finally hitting the "Suicide".... Xavier picks up the unexpected 3 count!

Backstage, Rot is looking into a mirror in the locker room. His face is flushed with anger. When he hears his music, he sets off.

Match 4
Tag Team
Palsied and Nicky Dreamboat vs Rot and Jacob Greene
During entrances, Palsied and Dreamy nail Jacob from behind, and in W2K anything outside the ring is legal (for atleast ten seconds), he gets an unabashed bashing with steel chairs... leaving him helpless outside the ring as Rot comes out and into a double tandem of Palsied and Dreamy. The two work unexpectedly well together as neither tries to over-the-top the other, both going for the win, and Rot finds himself in a bad position. When he slides out of the ring, and grabs a chair over Jacob's body, and comes in the ref warns him, but he purposefully DQ's himself by nailing the ref with a right hook. Palsied and Dreamy win by DQ.

CM and Cross, meeting in the back. CM wants to know he can count on him even though Cross is Ryan's best friend (usually). Cross is busy with a Rubriks cube, and CM groans, knowing he's pretty much in this by himself.

Match 5
Singles
Summer Stratus vs Con Escobar
Counter for counter, these two were in it to win it. Con is coming off a small week vacation where Summer drew with Palised last week; and if a year didn't hurt Amber too badly one week sure didn't take Con down a notch at all. Summer got more than she expected from the #1 contender, but, then again, she faced Haywire almost toe to toe two weeks ago at F2B; Con, near the end, lost some focus and, Summe rwas able to capitolize.

Near fall by Summer, another by Con- neither back down but in the end, a "Dangerously Hot" makes Con a bit unfocused, as Summer's able to hit a "Crash N Burn" for the win!

Amber's in her locker room, packing up her stuff to head out to her hotel. As she grips her bag, and, opens her door to leave the arena, standing in the doorway is NED. DUN DUN DUN..........

Main Event
Tag Team
Ryan Cain and Haywire vs Cross and Christian Michaels
For the most part, this was actually CM/Cain, as CM also fought off Haywire and proved why he's in e-Gold. Ryan and CM, though, seemed to have something to prove to one another, and, Ryan should be careful as Cross recently went in league with McMillion and he's in there in the ring with his son right now!

Cross doesn't respond to a tag attempt by Michaels, when Ryan has him in a Boston crab. The Dual Champions have done a great job of cutting the ring in half, but that's partly because CM's half isn't really CM's half. CM finally reaches the ropes, and knocks back Ryan with a high elbow to the face. As Ryan backs off, CM glares at Cross; Ryan makes the tag to Haywire and CM dumps himself over the top and walks to the back!! Cross just looks at him leaving, and Haywire flips Cross into the ring.

From here on out, Cross was taken aback by CM's bold move and by surprise from Haywire, and Ryan avoids even looking into the ring as Haywire picks up the win with the "Wirecutter", and with Cross being a million feet tall you can guess how far that fall was. Ryan, though, doesn't stay to celebrate and just heads to the back with his belt.

FADETH TO BLACKETH.
