Backstage we see Dante in a semi darkened area of the arena. He’s got the Impact title draped over his shoulder and he looks like he’s ready for war. Anarchy war to be exact.
“The only thing that we can affect is right now. This moment we stand in now. That is where I concern myself. The ghosts of the past are just that, ghosts, dead and buried�?/FONT>
Dante looks up, know full well who came up with that portion of the speech someone just recited to him.
“We are “The New Blood�?of the wrestling business. It is our time to take what is rightfully ours. Not because of some quaint notion of ‘destiny�?but because that’s the way nature works. Things evolve and replace the old and obsolete models. No one tells it to happen, it just does�?/FONT>
Dante: "Looks like someone’s been looking up my old work."
“Oh Mother…may I please…have some more?�?/FONT>
Dante: "Why don’t you stop fucking around and come out here, and mention that name again at your own risk."
“Where’s Nato and Seifer at Cross?�?/FONT>
Dante doesn’t even bother looking around, he’s keeping his cool, but still you can tell by the look in his eyes he wants to kick a puppy or choke a French guy.
“What’s wrong with you Cross?�?/FONT>
Dante: "Cross is the guy breathing fire stomping around the back waiting to kill everyone in Anarchy. I’m just Dante…the guy who’s going to *win* Anarchy."
“Sure Cross, but to do that…you have to get by me first, and we both know you can’t exactly do that in this weak state you’re in now. So go ahead…unleash that inner beast.�?/FONT>
Dante: "Are you done wasting my time yet?"
Instead of an answer we hear some strings plucked from an acoustic guitar, sounds like the opening to a Stevie Ray Vaughn song before it ends abruptly.
Dante: "Fine, I’ll make sure and give you a repeat of last year."
Dante cracks his neck and walks passed the camera as a cloud of smoke puffs out from the shadows where Tyler Hayden sits forward with a guitar on his lap and a cigarette between his fingers.
Haywire: "We’ll see Cross…We’ll see."
Fade.
