Syllabub
Syllabub has long been a traditional Holiday drink - It is just too
delicious not to be served during any special Yule Time meal or get-
together.
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
2-1/2 cups apple cider
1 tsp. vanilla extract
tiny pinch of salt
2 cups heavy cream
freshly grated nutmeg.
In a large bowl, combine the milk, sugar, cider, vanilla and salt. In
another bowl, whip the cream until stiff; fold the whipped cream into
the cider mixture, then whisk until the syllabub is frothy and
completely combined. Store in a refrigerator and whisk again to
recombine just before serving. Serve in your best punch cups and
garnish with fresh nutmeg.
