Candlewalk
The way and direction the candle moves toward or leans toward is also
very significant. Why is it important to look for this? Because each
quarter rules specific energies and these can impact the way in which
your spell manifests. It is believed that when a spell is cast, there
are certain energies that contribute to it and these determine many
factors of the spell itself.
1) Leaning or moving toward the North:
Although there is actual success to the spell, you will need to work
hard to achieve the goal you are casting for. Notice the flame itself
for further indications. Often this means that you will need to
recast the same spell before you achieve your desire. This is the
case when one is casting toward long range goals. Note the color of
the flame as well as this is important too.
2) Leaning or moving toward the East:
The East quarter deals with ideas and wind; therefore it is
associated with the mind. This message speaks of mental activities.
The message here clear: "Are you sure you have thought things through
carefully?" Observe the flame and color for further meanings.
3) Leaning or moving toward the South:
The South deals with movement and action, emotions and passions. A
flame that slants toward the south tells us that the result of the
spell will come quickly and intensely. Look for the spell to manifest
with far more strength and passion than you have at first believed
possible. If the candle is being used for a love spell or spell
regarding relationships, this leaning toward the South indicates an
intense and passionate affair.
4) Leaning or moving toward the West:
From the West comes dreams and prophecies. Observing the flame and
its color can tell you much about your own motivations behind the
spell, what you really want from this spell/candle and if you are
casting with a pure intention or not.
