Meatless Lentil Chili
5 c. boiling water
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
1 tsp. salt
1-1/2 tsp. (or to taste)chili powder
2-1/3 c. (1 lb.) lentils, rinsed well
1/2 tsp. cumin
1 (16 oz.) can tomatos of tomato sauce
Cheese
Cover and simmer lentils 30 minutes. Do not drain. Add above ingredients and simmer another 30 minutes.
Serve over rice or corn chips with cheese on top or serve as is. Can use for tacos, pizza, or aas a dip.
