TURTLE FOR PROTECTION
We have chosen Turtle to symbolize protection because it is impossible to feel protected and secure in other areas of life if you don't feel safe in your home. Turtle is at home anywhere because it carries its home on its back.
When Turtles sense danger or are in uncomfortable and insecure settings, they withdraw into their shells and are protected.
Doing Turtle's meditation is designed to help you feel more at home and protected everywhere you go.
When you feel secure, you are more likely to be yourself and act appropriately in every sityatiuon, benefiting everyone you meet.

Turtle spirit, please come to me.
Help me slow down and enjoy where I am.
Teach me to protect myself with shells and shelters,
So I can endure beings and forces I can't control.
You are at home on land or in the water.
You hold up the whole Earth Island on your back.
Your slow steadiness symbolizes all things that endures.
