Fullness and Emptiness
Does your life cry out for a change of diet? Is it overstuffed
in some areas, underfed in others? If you tend to overbook
try leaving empty space in your schedule, and see what
changes when you don't rush to fill it. If, on the other
hand, you're starved for nutriments-rest, affection,
meaningful employment-make that your priority and
taste the joy of fulfillment.
Affirmation
My life is in balance. I am nourished by what matters most to me,
and I leave room to sample the unexpected.
Practice: Attracting New Energy
Be a creative contrarian. Make a decision to respond in ways no one
expects. When you urge is to say yes, say no. Where you habitually
stand back, jump in. Keep silent if you're generally bold. As you
consciously take the opposite path from the one you're conditioned
to follow, notice the ways in which your life opens up.
Project: Create Inner Space
Just as there's no place for more funiture in a cluttered room,
there's no room for new ideas in a cluttered mind. Take an
inventory of your mental "attic." Examine the habitual responses
and attitudes-or platitudes- your've been storing there. Do they fit
the person you want to be and the life you aspire to? Listen for your
sincere inner voice telling you what to modify or elminate.
