Magickal Attributes of Shells

Shells can be found throughout the world, and the following list is rather short considering the great variety of shells.  For best results use shells that have washed up on beaches; those commercially available may have been harvested, their inhabitants killed, and then sold.  These shells are of a lesser value in magick and if you use them you should say a rite of release for the shell's creators.  The colours of the shells can be kept in mind when determining their magickal uses.
