Enjoy the flavors of summer in the middle of winter by using convenient frozen berries in this Blackberry Cobbler. Pair this warm treat with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a touch of whipped cream.
Ingredients
1 1/3 cups FLORIDA CRYSTALS Organic Sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 (16-oz) bags frozen blackberries (do not thaw)
1/2 (15-oz) package refrigerated piecrusts
1 Tbsp FLORIDA CRYSTALS Demerara Sugar
Directions
- Stir together first 4 ingredients in a large bowl. Gently stir in blackberries until sugar mixture is crumbly. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 11" x 7" baking dish.
- Cut piecrust into 1/2"-wide strips, and arrange in a lattice pattern over blackberry mixture. Sprinkle with 1 Tbsp Demerara sugar.
- Bake at 425°F for 45 minutes or until crust is golden brown and center is bubbly.
