Grassy Pumpkins
Slip a pot of ornamental grass into a hollowed out pumpkin to create a Jack-o-lantern with personality or a festive autumn display.

Materials:

• Large Pumpkins
• Sharp Carving Knife
• Ornamental grasses
• Battery Operated LED Light Set

Steps:

1. Use the bottom of the nursery pot with the ornamental grass to draw a circle on top of your pumpkin. This will be your guide for how large to cut the hole. If you are making a Jack-o-lantern consider keeping the stem in tact to use as the nose. If so, cut the hole for the potted grass out of the side of the pumpkin.
2. Following your guideline, cut the hole into your pumpkin.
3. Scoop out the pumpkin seeds. Save those for roasting!
4. Insert the pot of ornamental grass into giant pumpkin.
5. Leave the pumpkin plain or paint on a face to make a Jack-o-lantern with a full head of hair!
6. Top with LED Light Sets to create a festive glow.
