Makes 6 ounces
This cleanser will keep your skin soft and bright. It is a good alternative to soap because it contains two herbs beneficial to sensitive skin: fennel and
elderflowers. If neither grows in your garden, you may substitute the dried version.
1/2 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon fresh fennel leaves or 1/2 teaspoon dried
1/2 cup fresh elderflowers or 1/4 cup dried
1 tablespoon honey
1/4 cup buttermilk
Combine water, fennel and elderflowers. Steep until cool. Strain mixture and blend liquid with honey and buttermilk. To use, massage a small amount onto
face and neck. Rinse with warm water and pat skin dry. Store in refrigerator.
