Sugared Lemon Slices 1 | cup water | 1 | cup sugar , plus 3 tablespoon for sprinkling | 1 | large lemon , cut lengthwise and cut into 1/4-inch slices | Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan. Set the pan over medium heat and whisk frequently until the sugar dissolves completely. Add lemon slices and bring just to a simmer. Take saucepan off heat and allow syrup and lemons to cool. Remove lemons from pan and allow to cool completely. Sprinkle both sides of lemon slices with sugar. |
