</MYMAILSTATIONERY> Angels or Aliens? The Mysterious BiblicalFate Magazine 2000-12-01 By: Scott Corrales
"I saw Watchers in my vision, a dream vision, and behold two of them argued about me…and they were engaged in a great quarrel concerning me. I asked them: ‘You, why do you argue thus about me??They answered and said to me: ‘We have been made masters and rule over the sons of men.?And they said to me: ‘Which of us do you choose?…’?/FONT> The preceding is a fragment from the Testament of Amram, a document written in Aramaic which forms part of the Qumran scrolls, more commonly known as the Dead Sea Scrolls. The entire fragment, some eight patchy paragraphs, relates a story told by Moses?father, Amram, to his children, concerning the burden of choice: whether to serve the evil Watcher Melkiresha, a viper-faced demon, or his counterpart, the Watcher Melchizedek, who is ruler of the “Sons of Light.?/FONT> Much has been made over the last few decades of the link between the role played by the biblical Watchers and that played by UFOs and their occupants, as well as the phenomena associated with them. This order of nonhuman beings, which fell from grace on account of their transgressions with “the daughters of men,?are at the core of a current controversy. The viper-eyed Melkiresha, allegorical though it may be, is strangely reminiscent of some of the more reptilian UFO entities that have been reported in a number of encounters. The Watchers, as described in the Bible or by the Tibetan monks who discussed the topic with the Russian artist/mystic Nicholas Roerich (whose paintings of Asian hill-forts are often referred to in the writings of H.P. Lovecraft), are in essence a race of beings which have always lived in the skies and lord over humanity, reveling in intermarriage with humans. The biblical Noah, for example, was the offspring of a Watcher. Struggles of Angels and Men Mexican author Luis Ramírez Reyes describes interaction between the same kind of strange beings and humans taking place in our very own times. While the following report would perhaps be better filed under “alien aggression,?there are certain elements which make it a more suitable fit for “interaction between humans and hostile spiritual agencies.?/FONT> In 1993, Rafael Perrin, a television talk show personality, was hosting a party one night at his apartment in Mexico City’s swank “Zona Rosa?district. Around midnight, he stepped out onto his balcony to catch a breath of fresh air when, looking down to the sidewalk, he noticed a wounded dog lying on the sidewalk, twisting and howling. Moved by the sight, Perrin left his apartment to assist the suffering animal, but was prevented from touching the dog by a “young fellow dressed in rags,?who in spite of his reduced circumstances did not act like a beggar. The youth told Perrin that a band of aliens roaming the streets of Mexico City had inflicted harm upon the canine with a small beam-emitting device they carried on them. Perrin was further astonished when the young beggar went into a lengthy discussion of the beam weapon’s origin, its effect, the nature of the predatory aliens and the damage attributed to “unknown parties?that was common in the area. The youth was about to heal the suffering dog using a similar device which “reversed the effect?of the harmful beam. Rather than staying to witness the miraculous cure, Perrin ran back up to his apartment to fetch his camcorder, hoping to capture on film the curing of an injured animal by means of nonhuman technology. But when he returned to the scene, the young beggar was nowhere in sight. Perrin saw only the no-longer-wounded dog walking away down the sidewalk. “Imagine how I regret not having remained to witness the way in which that person used the device and…listening to his accounts of how there were aliens among us, fighting and squabbling with each other over control of the earth.?/FONT> Readers may take Perrin’s story, as told to Ramírez Reyes, with a grain of salt, but note the similarity to biblical accounts of warring factions of angels (or the mysterious Watchers) and the propensity of angels to appear as young human males endowed with special powers. In November 1991, Monica María Ortega, a young Colombian woman, told of a nocturnal sexual encounter with an alleged “alien?(which could well have been one of the Watchers) on a nationally syndicated TV show. Far from being one of the current crop of Greys, her nonhuman lover was more in step with the traditional sky people, elementals, or other creatures who have interacted with humans on a biological level in traditions that span the globe. Ms. Ortega was 12 years old at the time and living in New York City when this tall, blond, green-eyed entity suddenly materialized in her bedroom. “At first, I saw two lights. I felt a presence, and naturally felt scared. One light was red in color and the other was green,?she recalled. The lights told her not to fear for her safety. As she began to fall asleep, in spite of the luminous globes?presence, she felt caresses and kisses all over her body as her nightclothes were removed. “I felt something spread my legs open and a sharp pain soon after. I woke up, terrified, and saw a being in a tight-fitting outfit in bed with me. His eyes were so green that it made me dizzy to look at them. I found him very handsome, was attracted to him and fell in love.?/FONT> Monica’s lover and his silent companion (never manifested in human form) told her that they traveled around the world. Curiosity, they advised her, was the motivation for their sexual contacts. In 1987, Monica had her third contact with the Watchers. After two years, she had moved back to Colombia, and was overjoyed at seeing her otherworldly lover again. At the end of their encounter, Monica expressed a desire to go with him to “his world,?but the being turned her down. Nineteen years old at the time of the interview, the young woman had still not had sex with a human male. “They have the advantage,?she explained, meaning the Watchers, “of not making you pregnant.?/FONT> A History of the Watchers The mystical figure of Apollonius of Tyana-sorcerer, philosopher and indefatigable traveler-visited a place, according to the chronicles, known as the City of the Gods, whose inhabitants allegedly “lived on the earth, yet outside it at the same time.?Said parallel universe or dimension was located in the Himalayas, and as Apollonius and his guide, Damis, would near their destination, the more unreal the landscape became. Apollonius?larger-than-life adventures include teleportation away from the court of the Emperor Domitian in a.d. 96, and other occult phenomena. Could these skills have been learned in the City of the Gods? Considering Apollonius?stature in ancient history, could he himself have been a Watcher? Metal disks have been reported in the skies over the Himalayas for centuries. These have been considered manifestations of the Watchers by the lamas of Tibet and Nepal-“a sign of Shamballah,?the subterranean (or extradimensional) land ruled by a higher order of beings who visit our world in gleaming metallic vehicles. Foremost among Shamballah’s denizens is the Rigden-Jye-Po, the King of the World, who is identified with the leader of the Sons of Light mentioned in the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Scriptures Speak To the dismay of those who expect hard-boiled facts every time, the vast majority of the literature concerning the Watchers lies in mythology and in religious documents such as the Old Testament. In the Apocryphal book which bears his name, the Old Testament figure Enoch is taken to heaven to intercede on behalf of the fallen Watchers with the angels of the highest heavens. The appeal is turned down: for having taught the secrets of nature to human females, and worse yet, for having conceived children with human females (the giant Nephilim), the 200 spirits involved are condemned to never again regain their lofty status. We are given the names of the ringleaders of this heavenly conspiracy, and one of them, in particular, does more than ring a bell to a ufologically-minded ear: Semyaz. While phonetic similarity proves nothing, it is unusual that the leader of the alleged “Pleiadans?visiting Billy Meier at his Swiss retreat should call herself Semjase. Meier’s claims have been at the center of a number of disputes, mainly accusations of fraud concerning the fantastic UFO photographs which he circulated. What evidence suggests that the Watchers mentioned by the ancient religious chronicles, and the entities that accompany the UFO phenomenon, are one and the same? A careful examination of certain contemporary cases, along with some outstanding ancient ones, can leave no doubt as to the conflict between the fallen Watchers (the 200 which descended in the ancient Middle East, led by Semyaz/Semjase), the “Forces of Good,?and hapless mortal humans, stuck squarely in the middle. | </MYMAILSTATIONERY> |

</MYMAILSTATIONERY> The Mystery of Adam's Alien GenesFate Magazine 2001-07-01 By: Zecharia Sitchin
Zecharia Sitchin, born in Russia and raised in Palestine, is a noted archaeological scholar and author. The mind-boggling advances in deciphering and decoding the human genome bring closer to realization the hope that the new knowledge will lead to the curing of man’s worst maladies, even a halt to aging and a blissful longer life. The process of unlocking the most basic secrets of life also holds out hope of settling, once and for all, the debate between evolution and creationism, providing the answer to the question: In whose image was the Adam-the first modern human-created? The biological evidence abounding in nature points convincingly to evolution. The fossil evidence reveals a succession of primates and hominids evolving over millions of years. The archaeological evidence shows a progression from an Old Stone Age to a Middle Stone Age, from early hominids to more advanced ones. Were it not for an unexplained gap (the “Missing Link? of a sudden progression not over millions of years but all at once that resulted in Homo sapiens, modern man, the tenacious opposing school-those who stand by the biblical tale of Creation-would have no leg to stand on. Man, they assert, was “made to order?by deliberate divine will. Man did not evolve-man was created. The discovery that all life on Earth consists of the same genetic elements, DNA and its four nucleotide “letters?known by their initials A-C-G-T, and that genetically man differs from chimpanzee by just one percent of their genomes, seemed to counter the biblical tale of the Elohim that says: “Let us create the Adam in our image and after our likeness.?BR>But if one is to accept a tentative explanation for a group of enigmatic and extraordinary genes that humans possess, the feat of fashioning the Adam was achieved by a group of bacteria. A “Head-scratching Discovery?/B> The sequencing of the human genome accomplished in June 2000, and the more recent identification of man’s 30,000-plus genes (the groups of “letters?that express proteins), appear to uphold the theory of evolution. Scientists have been able to trace the vertical genetic progression of life on Earth. The same DNA that formed the first single-celled organisms some four billion years ago raised a tree of life through bacteria, fungi, plants, invertebrates, and vertebrates, all the way to the epitome-modern human beings. Indeed, the findings announced by the Public Consortium and the private Celera group in February 2001 were characterized as “humbling.?Our genes number little more than double those of the fruit fly (13,601), and barely 50 percent more than the roundworm (19,098). But within the data there looms a mystery that goes to the heart of the evolution-versus-creation dispute-and, unintentionally, the discovery offers corroboration of ancient “myths?about the role of extraterrestrials in bringing us about. While confirming the evolutionary process genetically, by tracing a vertical progression from the simplest to the more complex, the new findings came up with what Science (February 16, 2000) termed a “head-scratching discovery?the human genome contains 223 genes that do not have the required predecessors on the genomic evolutionary tree. How did man acquire this group of enigmatic genes? In the evolutionary progression from bacteria to invertebrates to vertebrates and finally to modern humans, these 223 genes are completely missing in the invertebrate phase. Therefore, the scientists explain their presence in the human genome by a “rather recent [in evolutionary time scales] probable horizontal transfer from bacteria.?BR>In other words, at a relatively recent time as evolution goes, modern humans acquired an extra 223 genes-not through gradual evolution, not vertically on the tree of life-but horizontally, as an insertion of genetic material from bacteria. An Immense Difference Now, at first glance it would seem that 223 genes is no big deal. In fact, while every single gene makes a great difference to every individual, 223 genes make an immense difference to a species such as ours. The human genome is made up of about three billion nucleotides (the “letters?A-C-G-T, which stand for the initials of the four nucleic acids that spell out all life on Earth). Just over one percent of these are grouped into functioning genes (rather than the almost five percent earlier assumed). The difference between one individual person and another amounts to about one letter in a thousand in the DNA alphabet. The difference between man and chimpanzee is less than one percent. (One percent of 30,000 is 300.) An analysis of the functions of these genes through the proteins that they spell out, conducted by the Public Consortium and published in the journal Nature, shows that they include not only proteins involved in important physiological and psychiatric functions, but also important neurological enzymes that stem only from the mitochrondrial portion of the DNA-the so-called “Eve?DNA humankind inherited through the mother-line all the way back to a single original Eve. A Shaky Theory How sure are the scientists that such important and complex genes, such an immense human advantage, was obtained by us-rather recently-through the courtesy of infecting bacteria? “It is a jump that does not follow current evolutionary theories,?said Steven Scherer, director of mapping of the Human Genome Sequencing Center at the Baylor College of Medicine. “We did not identify a strongly preferred bacterial source for the putative horizontally transferred genes,?states the report in Nature. The Public Consortium team, conducting a detailed search, found that 113 genes out of the 223 “are widespread among bacteria,?though they are entirely absent in invertebrates. An analysis of the proteins which the enigmatic genes express showed that out of 35 identified, only 10 had counterparts in other vertebrates, ranging from cows to rodents to fish; 25 of the 35 were unique to humans. “It is not clear whether the transfer was from bacteria to human or from human to bacteria,?Science quoted Robert Waterson, co-director of Washington University’s Genome Sequencing Center, as saying. But if man gave those genes to bacteria, where did man acquire those genes to begin with? Where did the "alien" genes come from-bacteria, or ancient astronauts? </MYMAILSTATIONERY> Conversations with ExtraterrestrialsDate: 2003-06-06 By: Preston Dennett
One of the rarest types of UFO encounter is an onboard experience or a face-to-face encounter with an actual extraterrestrial. In my twenty years of UFO investigations, I have uncovered only a handful of these types of very close encounters. Surprisingly, in the vast majority of these encounters, there is little or no conversation between the humans and the aliens.
In the cases where there is conversation, it is often one-sided and limited to the extraterrestrials giving platitudes to the frightened witnesses. It’s the same phrase over and over again. I’ve heard it a thousand times. It’s almost like a broken record. The first word out of the aliens?mouths (or minds) is invariably, "DO NOT BE AFRAID. WE WON’T HURT YOU."
While the aliens are usually very tight-lipped, occasionally they will engage people in brief conversations or relay brief messages.
CASE ONE: "You Won’t Remember This."
My first case involving conversations between humans and ETs occurred to the Robinson family of Reseda, California. In 1989, the family experienced a series of sightings and abductions by gray-type aliens, culminating in what UFO investigators call "a baby presentation."
The main witness, Kelly Robinson, experienced four consecutive visitations over a period of a few months. During each encounter, she was able to converse with the aliens.
On the first encounter, Kelly awoke to find four gray-type ETs standing around her bed. One spoke telepathically, telling her."Do not be afraid. Come with us. You won’t remember this."
Kelly, however, was a very feisty, independent twenty-year-old, and like twenty percent of abductees, she did remember. She recalled being taken into a small round room and placed on a table. They told her, "We’re going to take your memory away. You’ll not remember this...Don’t be afraid. We’re not going to hurt you. You can’t remember this."
Kelly screamed at them, "Yes, I will!"
This argument went back and forth, with the aliens telling her she couldn’t and wouldn’t remember, and Kelly screaming back that she would.
They then cut her arm. She woke up the next morning and immediately looked at her arm. A neat two-inch scar was exactly where she remembered the aliens cutting her.
Two weeks later, the aliens returned, telling her, "We’re going to take your memory."
Kelly screamed at them, "No, you’re not. I’m going to tell."
They told her, "No, you’re not....Your parents wouldn’t understand. You better not tell them, you know."
Kelly screamed out that she would tell her father.
They said, "No, no, no! You can’t."
A few weeks later, they came again. As usual, they attempted to erase her memory of the incident. They told her, "You’re going to forget everything."
However, as usual, Kelly had some recall of the events. Says Kelly, "I don’t know specifically what they asked me. They were asking me things about what we do, but you know, I can’t specifically say. They [said,] ‘this will happen and that will happen.?I think it’s about my job or something."
Says Kelly, "It’s hard for me to remember. They say, "You’re going to forget everything.?..It’s totally stressed on, "We’re not going to let you remember this. We’re going to take your memory of this away."
On her final encounter, the aliens appeared and said, "We need to talk to you. Come with us."
Kelly resisted and threatened to tell her father. They said, "No, you can’t tell your dad."
Says Kelly, "I think they’re religious. They’re not really out to hurt us. They’re out to learn. But they’re afraid for us to remember because they’re afraid we would tell people about them."
CASE TWO: "They Have Everything But Love."
Kelly Robinson’s mother, Diane, had an experience which she calls a "dream," but is clearly connected to the UFO encounters of her family. Diane recalls being taken into a room where she was shown babies who were genetically altered. First revealed by researcher Budd Hopkins, these rare cases involve abductees who are told to hold and nurture babies that appear to be half-alien and half-human. In most cases, there is little information exchanged. Diane, however, was given a brief explanation.
She recalled being taken to a room where she saw a large contraption shaped like a Christmas tree, but instead of branches there were incubators filled with babies.
Diane was told to pick a baby and hold it. She refused because the babies appeared to be deformed. Says Diane, "Every one of them had something wrong with them. And she said it was sad, because it wasn’t planned that way, that they had all these things wrong with them....She said they had everything but love. She said, ‘That’s why I’d like you to take one and love it....They have problems. They are different. But they still need love."
Diane was unable to overcome her revulsion and refused to hold the babies. Following this experience, all the UFO encounters of the Robinson family ended.
CASE THREE: "There’s Going to be a Rebellion."
During my research into the UFO wave over Topanga Canyon, California (see UFOs Over Topanga Canyon, Llewellyn, 1999), I uncovered several cases involving face-to-face extraterrestrial encounters. Again, in most cases, the aliens either didn’t speak or said only, "Do not be afraid, we won’t hurt you." However, in a few cases, messages were given. One case is that of the Martin family. It was Sarah Martin, the mother, who actually spoke with the extraterrestrials.
Sarah Martin’s encounters occurred during the peak of the UFO wave and involved several close-up sightings and at least one onboard encounter. Sarah recalls being inside a small circular room surrounded by small robed figures. Says Sarah, "To be honest with you, I can’t remember their faces. I just remember talking to them...and they were talking to me. And this is what they said: ‘Why are you so involved in this [Ross Perot] campaign? Why are you wasting your time? It’s going to fall apart, one by one, and whoever wins, it doesn’t matter because the whole system is going to come down around everybody. There’s going to be a rebellion. And you’re not a part of this, so don’t get involved.?
At the time, Sarah was heavily involved in the Ross Perot presidential campaign. After the experience, she dropped all her political activities. Says Sarah, "This was so incredible. In my mind, I keep going over again what they said: ‘You’re not a part of this, so don’t be a part of it. Get away from all of it.?..The other thing too is something about an earthquake, a big earthquake. Something like that...but the thing that stuck out the most was, ‘Why are you so involved? Why are you letting this consume your time? It’s not worth it, and it’s all going to fall apart.?
A few years later, the devastating Northridge earthquake struck, destroying several homes in Topanga Canyon.
CASE THREE: "We Need Babies."
Interestingly, another Topanga witness received prophetic warnings of the Northridge earthquake the night before it occurred, thereby saving her from serious injury or even death. Marcellina X had had encounters all her life, but it wasn’t until she moved into Topanga Canyon that she began to experience face-to-face visitations. Following the earthquake, she had an encounter with a gray-type extraterrestrial in her home.
During the encounter, the ET spoke to her telepathically. Says Marcellina, "It was telling me they were trying to invent ways of intercourse. They needed babies. It was just telling me a bunch of things telepathically. There would be more earthquakes. And then you know, we had all those earthquakes all over the world....I had changed my living room after the earthquake with a whole bunch of pictures I had painted of planets. And they told me that’s not exactly the way it looked there...[they said] I would be able to heal myself and I would be able to heal them. If they wanted me to heal them, I would be able to heal them."
Following this experience, Marcellina experienced the missing-fetus syndrome. Well known among UFO investigators, this syndrome involves women who become pregnant following a UFO encounter and then mysteriously lose the fetus. Marcellina also experienced subsequent paranormal healing events.
CASE FOUR: "Our Emotions Are Different Than Yours."
Pat Brown is a physical therapist from Panorama City, California. She had never thought of UFOs until 1992, when a vacation to Arizona triggered a series of encounters with gray-type extraterrestrials. For a period of several months, Pat reported terrifying nightly visits by ETs in her condo. Then, one evening, she was taken on board.
To her surprise, she found the experience enjoyable. She was given a tour of the craft and taken to meet "the master." It was then that she was given several messages of a spiritual nature. Says Pat, "I don’t know all that they said to me, but I remember them telling me there was something I had to do with my aura."
She was surprised to find that the appearance of the alien had changed to a human male with blond hair. She asked, "Why do you look like that?"
The ET replied, "Because this is the way you want me to look."
Pat was taken out of her body and was shown what her astral body looked like. The ET told her, "That is your soul. That is the part of you that goes through all the lifetimes."
Pat was given further spiritual lessons on vibrations and healing and was then returned to her bedroom.
She soon had further experiences, and suffered several medical effects as a result of her encounters. Her case is also supported by additional witnesses. Her obsession with the subject grew and Pat began a search for information and was led to a channeler, someone claiming to speak for the ETs.
Pat asked the channeler if people who are abducted make an agreement on some level. The channeler, speaking for the ETs, said that yes, abductees do, in fact, agree to be abducted.
Pat said, "Can you make them stop?"
The ETs replied, "No, you cannot make them stop, but if you become consciously aware, you will be handled in a different way...You need to understand why you have created this. We perceive we are supporting you in your drama. Why did you create this?"
Another audience member asked, "You come here and you get specimens. What do we get from you?"
"You get a jump start in your growth. That’s what we give you."
Another member asked about emotions and the ETs replied, "Our emotions are different than yours, but we do have emotions because we accept it as important to us."
The conversation continued until Pat became angry and shouted at them that they shouldn’t take her against her will.
The ETs replied, "The experiences you are receiving from this far outweigh the other things you are experiencing, and there’s not one person in this room that would not trade places with you."
Pat continues to have experiences, both positive and negative. She is also continuing her quest to understand the reasons for her encounters.
CASE FIVE: "We Are From a Place You Don’t Know About Yet."
In 1995, a middle-age couple, William and Rose Shelhart, were driving outside Sedona, Arizona, late at night when they spotted a bright light in the sky following them. It soon became apparent that the light was playing a game of cat and mouse with them as it chased them down the road and eventually landed in a field next to them. That was the last thing they consciously remembered.
Their next memory was arriving at a hotel in Sedona, several hours too late. Realizing they had missing time, they later sought out a hypnotist and recalled an incredible onboard UFO experience. They recalled being taken on board the craft and examined by nearly human-looking uniformed extraterrestrials. While William’s recall was negligible, Rose was able to recall most of what happened, including an actual conversation that she had with the ETs.
According to Rose, they were "invited" onboard and treated with kindness and respect. Says Rose, "They [the extraterrestrials] were just saying that we are helping you. They told me [William] was in another room getting different messages."
Rose asked where they come from. The aliens gave a typically enigmatic and evasive answer, replying, "We are from a place you don’t know about yet."
When asked about their purpose for coming here, their response was decidedly positive. Says Rose, "They said they are helping certain people here because they will help humanity. And something about like, the more we help, the more they help us. But they can’t interfere and just take over and fix everything."
Rose was unable to obtain any further useful information. She and her husband continue to have sightings and encounters, and William reports that he was healed of carpel-tunnel syndrome as a result of his interaction with the Ets.
CASE SIX: "Don’t Worry, We Won’t Hurt You."
Jack Stevens (pseudonym), of Everett, Washington, was only twelve years old when he was abducted out of a car and into a large craft. Most of the event was shrouded in amnesia until 1997, when he spontaneously recalled what happened twenty-five years earlier. His memory revealed a harrowing six-hour-long abduction event.
Jack recalled being levitated inside a beam of light and laid out on a table surrounded by short figures. As he was being taken on board, the ETs told him, "Don’t worry, we’re not going to hurt you."
As they examined him, Jack reports that the aliens conversed among themselves. "I remember two of them going back and forth, and it was like a ‘good cop, bad cop?thing. One of them, for all he cared, just throw me off. That’s what the impression was, just, ‘get him off here.?And the other one was saying, ‘No, we are not going to do that.?
"I remember them telling me to open my mouth."
Jack became nervous about his mother and brother who were still back in the car. The beings responded, "Don’t worry about it, we don’t want them...Don’t want them, don’t need them....We don’t care about them."
At one point, one of the beings attempted to relate a complex message. Says Jack, "He was telling me all kinds of stuff, but it wasn’t sinking in. I didn’t understand what he was telling me. There were math formula things and something about a lot of triangles and circles. There was a lot of geometry thrown at me. And I’m just sitting there thinking, this is pretty cool, but I kind of want to go home."
After several more procedures, the ordeal finally ended. As Jack was being placed back into his car, a final exchange ensued. Jack said, "You didn’t do anything to my mom and brother, right?"
The beings responded, "Right, don’t worry."
Jack’s case involves considerable physical evidence and numerous other witnesses. The case is still ongoing.
CASE SEVEN: "We’ve been Here a Long, Long, Time."
A very unusual case of extraterrestrial contact occurred to a waitress named Maryann X, of Carpinteria, California. One evening in 1992, following a series of UFO sightings, Maryann was in her home watching TV when she became aware of a presence. Although she couldn’t see anything, in her mind’s eye she sensed a strange being. The figure was thin, bald, with a large head, gray skin and dark almond-shaped eyes. In other words, the typical gray-type alien.
At that point, Maryann began to experience the phenomenon of automatic writing. Messages which she believed were from the alien began to be transmitted through her.
Says Maryann, "He’s very interested in our interest in him and his race. [He says] that they’ve been here for a long, long time, longer than we have from what I understand....They’re vastly interested in us. They’re almost more fascinated in us than we are in them. We don’t think the same way they do. He said, ‘We live in oceans.?They live in the ocean, underwater. Their ships are underwater. They’re very benign. They have no nuclear warheads [or] this kind of stuff."
Like many contactees, Maryann was given information about upcoming natural disasters. "He was telling me something about earthquakes. He didn’t predict anything else. He just said we’re in for some big type of natural disaster. I get the impression, thinking back to what he talks to me about, is that they’re almost here to warn us. Not of an impending doom type of thing, like the world’s going to blow up, but they’re not here to hurt. They’re here to observe."
The alien told Maryann that their race is much more numerous than all of humanity. "Lot and lots and lots. This is not just five or ten or twenty ships roaming around. We’re talking--from what I get from him--millions and millions of these people. And they’ve existed before we recorded time and history."
The alien told her that they were conducting a program to contact small groups of people across the planet. "That’s the understanding I have. They have jobs like everybody has jobs down here. His job is to find people who are receptive enough that he can talk to. And he was really worried about whether or not I was really scared....I get the impression that I am not the only one he talks to. In fact, I think that it’s like a job for them. That’s kind of the impression I got, is they kind of probe different people. It’s like his job is to find people who are receptive."
Marianne has made contact with the alien on several occasions, and has been given much more information.
CASE EIGHT: "It Is Very Important We Do This."
Melinda Leslie of Los Angeles, California, is an office manager and secretary who has been having ET contact her entire life. Even more amazing is that Melinda has been able to recall many of her experiences consciously, without the aid of hypnosis. She is what UFO researchers call a conscious abductee.
While she has had virtually the entire range of UFO experiences, one of her most dramatic occurred in July 1991 while driving with two friends through the Los Angeles forest. All three experienced a two-hour-long abduction into a metallic craft piloted by grey-type ETs.
Once on board, they were undressed, examined, separated and given separate messages. Melinda Leslie was able to recall the entire event consciously. As she was laid out and examined, she hammered the aliens with questions, none of which they answered.
She saw her friend sitting in a chair with a bizarre-looking headset on him and she screamed out, "What are you doing to him?"
One of the aliens replied, "It’s all right, we’re giving him information. It’s all right. We’re educating him."
"Don’t hurt him," Melinda said.
"We’re not hurting him. He’s all right. It’s all right."
Melinda continued to let out a stream of questions, however, she was rarely answered, and then, only in an evasive manner. Says Melinda, "They don’t give you straight answers. They say, ‘It’s okay. We need to do this. You understand.?
At one point, the three friends were separated and placed into different rooms. Melinda found herself in a room with a dozen greys. One stepped up to her and said, "Now, we’re going to do something. Don’t be afraid, but this is very important that we do this. We’re going to put this over your head."
What followed was a bizarre procedure. Melinda was immobilized by a device placed over her head. The aliens stood in a circle around Melinda and pushed her back and forth like a punching clown. Melinda felt she was going to fall, but each time she was caught and pushed again. Finally, she relaxed. At that point, they stopped and removed the device. One of the aliens said, "You needed to learn that....You needed to learn to trust us."
Meanwhile, Melinda’s friend, James, was receiving a different message. Says Melinda, "James said when I was out of the room, they came over to him, and they showed him a device, a bunch of stuff. They told him how to make a UFO detector, and they gave him the information. He said, they said because they wanted him to document and videotape them. When sightings happen, they told him he has a mission to document this stuff."
According to James, "They showed me how to do this. And they explained the whole thing technically to me, and I was given the information how to build those. They were done and they made sure I understood. And I said, ‘Yes, I understand.?
Melinda’s other friend was unable to recall much detail other than being taken onboard and examined. Melinda continues to have experiences and has lectured extensively about her encounters.
CONCLUSIONS
There are many other cases where aliens have conversed with human beings. However, the patterns are usually the same. For the most part, aliens are not only extremely taciturn; when they do speak they are often evasive. When abductee Travis Walton was taken onboard a UFO, he asked numerous questions of the aliens, none of which were answered. When abductee Betty Hill asked her abductors where they came from, they told her, "You wouldn’t understand."
But as the above cases show, the aliens do sometimes reveal information about themselves, their feelings, their intentions, their desires, fears and beliefs. By piecing together these accounts, we are beginning to get a clearer picture of who the aliens are and what they are doing on this planet. The main message revealed by the aliens' conversations is that they have a strong interest in humanity. Whether they are removing genetic material, imparting spiritual knowledge, predicting natural disaster or studying our emotions, the aliens are obviously fascinated by humanity. The conclusion is clear. For whatever reason, they are deeply interested in us. And if the patterns reveal anything, the aliens will remain here for a long, long time.

</MYMAILSTATIONERY> Beyond UFO AbductionsDate: 2003-09-25 By: Preston Dennett
The UFO phenomenon is extraordinarily complex, however the main focus is undeniably face-to-face encounters or the onboard UFO experience. Still, when people think of these types of close encounters, they often assume that the experience is a terrifying event during which the unwilling victim is laid out on a table and examined by emotionless gray-type ETs. While I believe these types of encounters do happen, this is only a small part of the UFO experience. In reality, people experience a much wider variety of encounters. Contrary to popular opinion, onboard UFO experiences are not always involuntary and terrifying. Many people experience encounters during which they are actually helped or healed. There seems to be multiple reasons why people are contacted by aliens.
My latest book, Extraterrestrial Visitations: True Accounts of Contact (Llewellyn, 2002) focuses only on those types of encounters which involve considerable interaction between the witnesses and the UFO. Each case involves either a face-to-face encounter, missing time or an onboard experience. Although these cases are among the most extensive I have ever investigated, at least half of them are not typical and move beyond the standard abduction scenario.
Rescued by Aliens The following case is a perfect example. Sherry Jamison (pseudonym) worked first as a real-estate agent, then later returned to school, earned a degree and became a licensed therapist. She has been married for many years and has a full-grown child. She is both humble and dignified, with a quick wit and a positive outlook on life. Looking at her, you would never guess that she has had many bizarre experiences with extraterrestrials.
Sherry’s first experience occurred when she was only eight. She lived with her parents in rural New Jersey. One night in the early 1950s, Sherry awoke to find herself outside her home, standing in a nearby field. She had no idea how she got there, but looking up, she saw a small, metallic, saucer-shaped craft hovering above her. It instantly swooped down and sent down a beam of light directly on her. Says Sherry, "The craft was into a very big craft…but what happened was, it put its light on me. I remember running along the fence, trying to get away from it?I remember running along the fence, and this craft was chasing me. I was trying to duck down and this craft was chasing me....I was running and falling, running and falling."
The next thing Sherry realized, the craft had struck her with a beam of light and she was lifted aboard. "It was like a flashlight. It was a very strong beam because I went right up into the craft. My sensation of fear left me. I was so afraid when it was chasing me."
At that point, Sherry remembered nothing but waking up the next morning. At first she thought it had been a strange dream, but she realized that she had a different outfit on then when she went to bed, and her clothes were inexplicably dirty. Whatever had happened, it wasn’t a dream.
As she grew up, Sherry began to have bizarre nighttime experiences, half-remembered dreams and recollections of grey-type aliens standing around her bed. She began to awaken with unusual marks and scars on he body. Over a period of years, she slowly began to connect her experiences, and wondered if she was one of those people labeled as UFO contactees.
Of course, this was no sudden revelation. She knew something strange was going on, but extraterrestrials? It seemed too outlandish to even consider.
Then in the 1960s, Sherry experienced an event which left no doubt in her mind that she was in contact with extraterrestrials. It remains one of the strangest encounters I have ever investigated.
Sherry was driving alone in the middle of the night through the Watchung Mountains of New Jersey when she lost control of her motorcycle and crashed. Because it was so late at night and the road was totally isolated, there was no traffic at all. Sherry was totally alone.
Or so she thought.
Moments after the accident, Sherry was startled to see three strange figures. She instantly recognized them as the figures she had seen before, in her bedroom at night. Says Sherry, "When I was driving on a motorcycle once in the mountains, I had an experience -- these same people appeared to me. They were like greys, more detailed, more white, not quite human. I would say like a body suit on a human figure, a white body suit, not a grey one, but maybe an off-white or a beige-grey.
"I was riding a bike and I slid my bike. I had bent the kick-stand when I did. I didn’t hurt myself, but I had bent the kick-stand, and I couldn’t move [it] to get the bike started. It was very dark. I didn’t see a mother ship or anything. But again, I call them aliens only now. I always didn’t know what to call them. They were just my friends. There were two of them. They looked at me and silently picked up my motorcycle, took the bar and straightened it out into a kick-stand again. I nodded and kicked it. It was just like, okay. I kicked it; we didn’t have electric starters at that time. I kicked the motorcycle over and off I went."
Sherry was astonished by the event. She was already shaken up from the accident, but the appearance of the figures took her totally by surprise. Says Sherry, "They were both right there. They were about a foot and a half away. One looked at me. They both looked at the one doing it. They were both like "greys" look, without clothes. They didn’t have any attire on or anything on. They looked like greys except they were more human-proportioned. Except they did have the dark eyes, but not as almond-shaped as that. It was the only think dark that appeared on them.
"And I wish now I could have not been so worried and disturbed, or that I could have paid more attention. But they weren’t threatening. They just kind of nodded and went on their way?they looked almost luminous. So it was kind of strange. It was very strange."
Although that was Sherry’s most intense face-to-face encounter, she continued to have a number of other close-up sightings of metallic craft.
Sherry’s case is difficult to classify. Although she did experience an apparent missing-time abduction, she has also had an undeniably positive encounter. She has no desire to be hypnotized, and is content to call the aliens her "friends."
It took Sherry a long time to conclude that she was having encounters with aliens because the figures looked almost human, the only real difference being that their eyes were larger and darker than humans. Sherry is only one person of many who have moved beyond abductions.
Invited Aboard and Healed In 1995, retired couple William and Rose Shelhart experienced a missing time encounter with a UFO outside of Sedona, Arizona. As they drove along an isolated road, they saw a light following them. It appeared first ahead of behind them, as if playing a game of hide and seek. Suddenly, the light zoomed down out of the sky and landed into a field next to their car. The couple promptly lost consciousness. Their next memory was of stumbling into a hotel hours later.
Realizing they had experienced missing time, they underwent hypnosis during which they recalled that they weren’t abducted, but were invited onboard. Says Rose, "We weren’t kidnapped or abducted. We voluntarily boarded and we were welcome. We sought them out and we climbed aboard, not being abducted as ‘in force.?
Rose was surprised at the appearance of the ETs. As she says, "They looked a lot more like people than some of those sketches do. A lot more. Their eyes were a little larger than any white person’s big eyes would be, but they were just not enormous. They looked like they could pass for us if they wished. And they glowed with a blue aura which made me feel reassured, kind of on a mental level, that they were peaceful."
Rose was also surprised by their clothing. "Something like a military outfit, but not anything I have ever seen, and I’ve been in Europe and here and so forth. But it would resemble that because they were all alike, but more loose-fitting, but with belt. Uniforms, but it looked structured more like, ‘I mean business.?
Another surprise was the lack of technological equipment on board. "Oh, there were all kinds of lights, but very few actual gizmos like we have on any aircraft here. [It was] like they didn’t need them. It didn’t look like they needed too many things. It’s like they almost had mind control to get the thing going. But there were little lights, I guess for monitors and things."
Rose recalled other details regarding the ETs place of origin and their intentions on Earth. William, however, was not a good hypnotic subject and was unable to recall anything other than the craft landing and them being invited onboard.
William had experienced an earlier terrifying episode with missing time, so he was somewhat relieved that their encounter turned out to be benevolent.
Later, William and Rose had another encounter in their isolated home in Hawaii, which confirmed for them that the ETs were interested in their welfare. His first clue occurred upon waking up one morning and finding a strange mark on his body. Says William, "I woke one morning and I felt an itch on my right foot and discovered three puncture wounds in a perfect triangle. They were in the process of scabbing over. I sleep on a waterbed, so nothing could have scratched it. My wife was the only witness. I felt something itching on my right ankle, and that’s when I looked. Because there’s no way possible in the night I could have done this, and that’s when it happened."
William was concerned by the marks because it was obvious that they were not natural. But what could they be?
The answer came about two weeks later when the same incident occurred again, only this time William was awakened by an unexplained bright beam of light entering into his bedroom. Says William, "I woke in the middle of the night with a bright light coming in the back window. It lasted about thirty to sixty seconds. I froze and could not get out of bed to look outside. My backyard is a jungle of coconut trees and plants. As I live in the country, no car could get there in that time. When the light came in the back window, it was just as bright as could be. I couldn’t believe it, and there’s nothing in the back. There’s no way a car could have gotten in there. I mean, that’s what it looked like -- somebody’s headlight shining right into the window. I remember waking up and seeing that. This was just kind of shocking thing."
William’s first instinct was to get up and investigate. Strangely, however, he found himself paralyzed. Seconds later, he felt himself being put to sleep. When morning came and he awoke, he immediately remembered the incident that had occurred in the middle of the night. He could only shake his head in wonder. Then he looked down to his right arm and received an incredible shock. Says William, "My right wrist was itching. The same thing happened -- three puncture wounds in a perfect triangle…I woke up and found those triangular pin-pricks on my right hand. And this was the hand I used when I carried mail. This was in constant use. And they were very fresh, because you could still see, they had just about scabbed over. I showed them to my wife immediately. I said, ‘My God! Look at this thing. It’s perfect. It’s a perfect triangle."
William had worked for years as a postal worker and had developed severe carpel-tunnel syndrome in his right wrist, as well as permanent damage in his left ankle. However, immediately following the two above incidents, he noticed a dramatic improvement in his health. "I went and got myself a hot tub. I didn’t everything I could to take some of that pain away. And it wasn’t until after my incident that things started to get better. I just know that I progressed and started to get better. Since thin, I have been 90 percent cured?I am almost sixty-seven years old and I can hang off a twenty-foot ladder placing the weight on my right foot and paint with my right hand, day after day. I really don’t care if people doubt my explanation. I know what I feel."
William and Rose are the perfect example of people who have moved beyond the typical abduction scenario. Not only were they healed, but they have now become healers themselves. This pattern has turned up in other cases. Says Rose, "Both of us have become more and more interested in helping people in alternative healing ways. Even William, he has this energy in his hands that he didn’t have before?now it’s like I feel this heat coming out that’s really good. And people say they feel it out of me too. And I say, ‘Oh, where did I get this from.?I have a lot of good result stories from the neighborhood. But I’m grateful, because I think it [the UFO connection] has a lot to do with it."
Six Hours Onboard a UFO In 1972, when he was 12 years old, Jack Stephens was abducted from his vehicle in full view of his mother and brother. He was lifted up inside a beam of light and taken inside an enormous craft the size of a small building. He experienced a six-hour-long encounter aboard the UFO before being deposited back into the car.
The stunned family drove home, with most of the event shrouded in amnesia. They recalled only a powerful light hitting the car, the engine turning off and a slight floating sensation. Their next memory was the light turning off, the car engine turning on and six hours had passed. It was a typical missing time encounter.
Years later, as an adult, Jack bit down on an impacted wisdom tooth. This caused a flood of memories to burst forth. Jack suddenly recalled everything that happened.
In most respects, Jack experienced the typical abduction scenario. He recalled being taken aboard onto the craft. He was laid out on a table and examined. They poked at his feet, probed inside his mouth. Jack is unable to recall the appearance of the beings, only that they were short and incredibly scary-looking.
It’s what happened next, however, that makes Jack’s account unique in UFO literature.
Investigators?have long noticed that UFOs often hover over electric power lines, as if they were drawing electricity into their craft. Jack is the first abductee to witness this exact procedure from the perspective of inside the ET craft.
After the examination, Jack was floated off the table and into another room. The beings then placed him in a strange device which allowed him to view the procedure. Says Jack, "We went straight up above the fog. I could look out. The next thing, I was down in this thing. It was like a little clear diamond-thing on the bottom of [the craft.] I’m in this thing and there are like bungee cords on me. I sat in this clear diamond-shape -- actually suspended, it almost felt like bungee cords, but I could see everything around. I got a 360-degree view. I could look everywhere. We drop back down and we’re by my farm. We’re literally down in the pasture above this ditch. And there are some big high voltage power lines, heavy-duty power lines through there. You can just feel the electricity coming off.
"Well as we dropped down to this thing, whatever the clear thing I was in, in the bottom, kind of got smaller. It was kind of like more of a confined space. It seemed wide open to me before, and yet I was enclosed, in kind of like plastic or glass."
Jack was in awe. It felt like he was dangling below the craft with a perfect view of everything around. The room he was in seemed to design specifically for observation. In fact, the whole room would swivel towards whatever direction he looked. "In places it didn’t move at all, like if I just wanted to look one way, it just stayed there. But if I turned, it would move all over. But if I just stopped and looked one way, it would stop and look one way."
At this point, the procedure began. "[They] were explaining to me what they were doing. I don’t know what it was, but we went up to the power lines. And after we got back down, that little thing I was in seemed to kind of shrink up inside. [There were] four rotating things on each side of this thing -- the diamond or triangle or whatever it was -- there were four lights that started spinning around. And I could see them from where I was?And I saw all those beams suck all together, come into one big beam and hit the power pole, sucking the electricity out of it. And these were like, I mean, LIGHTS! They all focused into one and they started sucking electricity out of the power poles. I can’t describe it but I could literally feel it going through my body.
"I remember being cold. That’s when they sucked up the electricity. That is the most vivid part of the whole thing. We were up above it, a telephone pole, maybe two telephone pole lengths above it. And all those lights focusing into one super bright light -- just pshew! Just literally seeing the electricity coming out of there, and feeling it. It was just like it drained everything, just took it all.
"Another thing, when I was up in that thing, we were above the fog, just kind of floating above this fog. And when they went to go suck the electricity out of the power lines, that fog just got out of the way. It just opened wide up, just shew! -- got out of the way, and I could see crystal clear.
"Another thing, I remember my teeth kind of hurting when it was sucking that stuff up. Just like when you're chewing on aluminum foil. I remember feeling like, ‘Hurry up, get this thing over with.?
While Jack recalls several other events, it was the above incident which remains the most memorable. As can be seen, the aliens seem to have intentions beyond just an abduction and physical examination.
Taken to an Underground Base
The standard abduction scenario usually involves a person being taken inside a UFO and examined by grey-type extraterrestrials. But again, this scenario is not as common as many might believe. Consider the following case, in which a young man was abducted, not by grey-type ETs, but by praying-mantis-type ETs. Nor was he taken inside a UFO. In fact, he recalled being taken to an apparent underground base!
In 1967, twelve-year-old, Paul Nelson (pseudonym) was visiting the island of Catalina with his parents. Also along was Paul’s best friend, Michael (pseudonym.) The two boys decided to go inside their boat and read some new comic books. Suddenly, however, they both experienced an episode of missing time. Their next memory was of waking up the next morning. While Paul was unable to convince his parents that anything unusual had happened, both Paul and his friend knew that the event was strange.
Two weeks later, Paul was alone in his Reseda, California home when he had another strange experience. He was alone in his room when the door began to rattle. He jumped up and threw it open. To his shock, he saw the shadow of a small figure running down the hallway. He chased after it, but found nothing.
Paul didn’t know how to explain these experiences and didn’t connect it to the UFO phenomenon. However, afterwards he developed an interest in UFOs and began to read up on the subject.
Many years later, he grew up, married, became a doctor and had two children. Then he had a UFO sighting of a distant object in the daytime sky. This renewed his interest in UFOs. He began reading about the missing time aspect of UFO encounters when he realized that he had experienced missing time.
Intrigued, he eventually underwent hypnosis to recover his lost memories. Having read about UFOs, he expected to find that he had a frightening encounter, during which he would be examined by grey-type ETs, aboard a UFO using highly technological equipment. Instead, it was nothing like this.
As Paul underwent the regression, his first surprise was that he was not aboard a UFO, but instead appeared to be in an underground base. Says Paul, "I was taken to a round-walled room. It seemed to me more underground than it did onboard a ship. The walls had kind of rock-like facet to them. And I was on a table…Yeah, rock-like walls rather than metallic craft-type walls. It gave the impression that I was in a cavern [rather] than in a ship…It was more of an underground feeling that’s true. That is a little anomalous."
Under hypnosis, Paul recalled his friend, Michael nearby, also being examined. His next surprise was that the beings were what he expected. Says Paul, "The beings weren’t the typical greys, they were more the ‘Praying Mantis?type, as I later understood. The eyes were slightly bigger than what is seen in the typical small grey, and a little more insectoid-like…They wore tight-fitting uniforms, I believe. There was even a color to them, but I can’t remember what the color was…tight-fitting jump-suit like things. I think there was one in that bunch that had a tunic-type thing, more looser fitting over it. I couldn’t tell how tall they were because they were over me and I was on my back. So I couldn’t give you the exact height. They didn’t look particularly tall though."
Yet another surprise was the type of machinery in the room. Having read a good deal about UFOs, Paul expected again to see complex equipment. Instead, it all seemed amazingly primitive. Says Paul, "The machines looked like typical military-type computer consoles rather than alien-looking machines. There were lights and buttons. Well, I don’t know if they were buttons, but areas that seemed to be for pushing. Colored lights -- I can’t remember what color off the top of my head."
Paul recalled a very short examination, but otherwise, nothing frightening happened. Never did he feel any fear. "I don’t remember being particularly scared about the whole thing. In fact, I was a little intrigued by it. I don’t remember anything painful occurring."
Conclusions As the above cases show us, it can be extremely difficult to categorize a UFO experience. While there are definite patterns, encounters are as individual as the people who have them. Witnesses, as a rule, experience a wide variety of events beyond the abduction and examination. I am currently working with several people whose experiences with ETs are typically atypical. One case involves a southern California woman who has had multiple encounters with grey-type ETs. She has several witnesses and physical evidence to support the veracity of her encounters, which have moved beyond the standard missing-time abductions and examinations and evolved into fully-conscious encounters during which she has been healed of various ailments, has been taught how to heal, and has been given other spiritual information. She reports that the greys are very loving and emotional. Another case involves a lady who has had multiple encounters with praying-mantis-type aliens. Her encounters have not been benevolent; her health has suffered as a result. However, on a few occasions, the aliens told her extremely personal information which proved conclusively to her that they were very concerned with her life. They not only showed that they had been watching her during her entire childhood, but they also gave her a series of predictions, several of which have already come true. Some of the information was so personal, that the witness refused to even discuss it.
While abductions and examinations appear to be the single most common factor, there are a vast number of experiences beyond this. Again, the conclusion is inescapable that extraterrestrials have a deep in humanity. Why else would they take the time to fix someone’s motorcycle, heal someone of carpel-tunnel syndrome or dangle somebody below their craft and show how they siphon electricity from power lines?
